Auto focus, image stabilization, sharpness etc, everything works like a dream in both G7 and G9.I bought it renewed but the one I got I thing it was brand new except that it came in a white box and no manuals, who needs the manuals anyway.

Mainly using for closeup and macro images

Love the lens, but mine makes a clunk-clunk noise when the the camera is powered on. It doesn't seem to affect operation at this point, but the clunking noise makes it feel like a cheap lens. I'll probably have to get it repaired at some point.

This lens is a fraction of the size of a ff or aspc equivalent, has great in body IS that can work with some Panasonic bodies, and has nice character in its images. It's also great for video and costs less than larger format equivalents.It hits f4 around 35mm or so, but with the great m43 IS, you can still shoot relatively long exposures handheld.Highly recommended. Seems sharper than the lumix 12-35f2.8
