Good powder but confusing colors compared to their other lines
I’m a loyal bareMinerals pressed powder fan — I swear by the BarePro powder in Fair 15 Neutral — so I figured I’d try this sun protection version for summer since I’m pretty fair and can use all the SPF help I can get.The tricky part has been the shade match. I assumed my usual Fair 15 Neutral would be an option, but apparently not. For some reason, this powder’s “15” is called Neutral Medium, which is way too dark for me. I ended up trying Golden Fair 04 instead, and while it’s closer, it leans more yellow than I’d like. I can still wear it, but I usually layer on a bit of a light bronzer just to balance it out so I don’t look off-tone.Even with the color confusion, I really like the idea of this powder. I’d never use it as a stand-alone sunscreen for all-day sun, but for daily errands, a quick dog walk, or a bit of extra coverage on top of regular SPF, it’s great. So I’m still a fan — just wish the shades were clearer and matched up better with their other powders. I’ll probably try another shade next time to get it just right!

Too dry left flakes on my face
I thought this one wasn't as drying and it left scaley flakes on my face by the end of the day. I even had a hydrating primer underneath. It's more drying than the bare pro which seemed odd.

Good powder but needs some prep
I’ve always liked bareMinerals and this pressed powder foundation is no exception. It gives a nice finish, but you really have to blend it well to avoid any patchiness. Definitely make sure your skin is well-moisturized (and probably exfoliated) before applying because it doesn’t the best on dry skin. It can look flaky. Overall, it’s a solid product if you prep your skin right.

Doesn't Make my Rosacea Worse Doesn't Settle into my Pores or Wrinkles
I am in my late 60's with sensitive skin and rosacea, and almost everything makes those conditions worse. My skin is very oily in the t zone, and I have large pores in those areas. I HATE!!!!! foundations, I hate how they feel on my skin, and almost everyone of those would settle into my pores, so I went without foundation most of the time.I had tried Bare Minerals again about 3 months ago after trying their products years ago, at which time I didn't like them enough to keep using them. This time, I bought the Get Started Kit in Fairly Medium 05, and I really wanted the brush, which was included in the kit. The brush alone was the cost of the kit, so I thought that was a really good deal to try the primer, loose powder and mineral veil, even though they were the mini size. The color was a good match for me, but I then bought the original loose powder full size in light beige 09. That shade was slightly yellow when I put it on my inner arm, but it's a good match on my face. That's the color I requested in this pressed powder. There was a little crumbling of the pressed powder from the shipping. The little application sponge is stored in a compartment under the powder. I like the brush that I bought in that starter kit better for applying the powder. I just had moisturizer on, and applied the powder using the brush, and it totally covered my rosacea and hyperpigmentation from past sun exposure. I finally have facial skin that isn't red, and matches my neck skin tone. It did not settle into my large pores, and it did not make my skin wrinkles look worse, and I even had applied some under my eyes. I hate the feel of foundations on my skin, and this does not bother me. I find that the Bare Mineral powders look better the longer they are on my skin, even after several hours.I like this pressed powder better that the loose powder, and I feel that it has better coverage without feeling heavy on my skin. I actually love it, and appreciate the spf 15. I am so glad that I gave Bare Minerals another try after all these years, and will use the pressed powder more often because it makes my skin look so much better.
