Buy Review: Good for servers - What with the ongoing apocalypse, my work in IT means I've had to bring a disgustingly noisy little bastard of a server home to do some lab work. With it next to my desk the fans made me feel like I was going insane, so it's been banished to a bedroom. Annoyingly I sometimes need to plug a screen into the little Jet engined noise maker, which meant lugging a monitor upstairs to it. No more. This little screen is perfect for just checking on the status of a server, or fiddling around with the BIOS or something. The picture quality is pretty decent, and the text is JUST big enough to read during a bootstrap. Make no mistake, if you plan to do actual work on a server, you'll want a bigger screen, but just for doing some basics, this little thing is great. It's nice and small/light too. I will probably start taking it with me if doing field work, once the world goes back to some form of normal. I'm quite impressed with this little thing, and I'm glad I didn't spend any more money. Review: Surprisingly Good - This little guy is very cheap and was purchased as an "extra" monitor for a professional theatre production. The screen is surprisingly clear and whilst it is NOT a professional item in any way.. this was easy to set up and is easily good enough to use as a non-calibrated reference monitor. ONE WARNING - the screw for the very flimsy stand is not a standard camera mount screw - it looks like it is - but it's not. LOL

Fantastic little monitor
Don't get me wrong this is a really quite small monitor and would not suit everyone but the size is quite clearly stated . If you want a 7 inch monitor however look no further . I know it's crazy but I use it with an X-Box 1 and it's great . Really good bit of kit .

Good little monitor
Really clear images and easy to set up. The stand is better than the image.

Useful little monitor for Raspberry Pi, NUC, Minnowboard etc.
Good that it supports HDMI, VGA and composite-video, and built-in speakers are passable. 1024x600 pixel resolution, runs off 12V centre-positive barrel plug (PSU included). Great for text-mode "console"/debug screens (we use loads of these monitors at work). Very acceptable for full colour display/GUI such as Raspberry Pi (you need to add some extra lines to the R-Pi config.txt file to make it support the 1024x600 resolution with no distortion). The colour looks like it's probably only 6-bit, so "posterises" slightly on smooth colour graduations, but that doesn't really matter on a screen of this type - you wouldn't expect to use it for critical imaging/photographic work. At just under £50, a good value-for-money compact little screen, with universal input signals supported.

Very disappointing
I don't know whether or not I got a faulty one but I intend to return this item. It is totally unusable. The display is simply not acceptable. I realize that it is cheap to buy but as I wanted it purely for monitoring purposes as a secondary display I anticipated something a little better. I was using the HDMI input which should include sound. The sound however was intermittent (but was ok for the brief periods of time for which it was there). Not recommended.

Does the job
I’m currently building a flight simulator and the 7inch screen is just the perfect size to fit in with the other equipment. The display is bright and sharp enough to recreate the gps and land side layouts of selected airports. I only have one fault, it has a slight backlight bleed through at the sides but not a major issue.

This worked perfectly as a second screen for my setup. The build quality is sturdier than I expected, and the refresh rate is smooth enough for light video or console use. The setup was quick and easy to use right out of the box. The viewing angle is wide and clear, making it easy to glance at without constantly adjusting the screen. I’ve moved it around quite a bit, and it’s held up well. Good durability for something this compact.

Worth the money, really cute and convenient! very great images and great sound. Would recommend to any friend who need a little monitor for raspberry pi, CCTV system or backward camera in cars.

I use this in a DSDplus FL portable setup and needed a screen to hook to the computer that was in the back of the car so I could hang it up front to see it. I bought one of those raspberry pi screens thats about the same size before I got this one. The old one was too bright at night and way too dim in the day... This one is perfect! Especially since you can adjust the brightness, it gets plenty dark and plenty bright! The brightness adjust works fine from about 25 to 75. When you go over 75 you may have to adjust some of the other settings as well as if you go under 25 but it’s definitely dim enough for night and bright enough in almost direct sunlight in the car up by the dash The speakers work fine up to about 70-80 then after that they start distorting but pretty good quality nonetheless! The stands screw wouldn’t go in, guessing it was too big for the stand but I didn’t need the stand but if you needed it maybe could get the right size screw? The picture quality is great also! My last small screens colors were all off a bit but this one is crystal clear and the colors are on point!

Good item to buy! Worked for my small teleprompter!

Great quality picture for such a small unit. Audio is adequate, but a bit tinny. I have had no luck getting Roku Remote to control it, despite trying several settings. Anyone know what set of IR codes would control it that might be preprogrammed into a Roku? Otherwise, great unit.
