Green Hedge Clumping Bamboo Plant - Bambusa Multiplex - One Gallon Size - Non-invasive Form

I couldn't find any bamboo in the nurseries around here so I went online and ordered a plant. I figured it would arrive and be half dead and six inches tall. As usual I was wrong. It was about three feet tall and really healthy. It was supported inside the box with twine. There were detailed instructions enclosed about how to care for it. Now that I know about this nursery I will be ordering more plants from it. Couldn't be happier with it.

I intended to order 5 more and use 6 of these 1 gallon bamboo plants in an 8' oblong galvanized tub to provide a visual "screen" near our side deck hot tub. Had trouble finding locally at nurseries. So glad I only ordered one! As you can see, the plant I received is about a tenth the size of the one pictured. I do not have an issue with the height, but the one on the Amazon site appears to have MANY stems and quite thick green leaf coverage and the one I received has just a few stems and very sparse green and brown leaves.

I ordered 2 of these 1 gallon plants; shipping was fast, packing not so great as plants were dry, 1 plant was thick and healthy, 1 was very skimpy and yellowed. Both plants were in an approximated quart size container, not the gallon container pictured. I would have expected better packaging and 2 healthy pants gallon size for the price.

The bamboo was pretty banged up by the time it got to me in Nevada..it shipped from Florida in a brown cardboard box with no markings on it about a live plant inside. I checked on the daily tracking and it made a lot of stops and probably got jossled around quite a bit. No instruction or info sheet inside...just the bamboo plant. I didn't waste any time getting it into the ground with a few stakes to help it stay upright. Removed a few dead leaves and a couple of broken branches. Hopefully it will recover and do well. I did expect it to be fuller...seems more like a Charlie Brown Christmas bamboo...

Looks like the bamboo is doing good.It came packaged very well with gel to keep it moist. Plants looked great.I have planted with a watering bag on top of ground since it is so hot in Texas this year.Hopeful it gain momentum and grow to provide a much needed privacy screen

One excellent bamboo clump! This little cluster is so healthy and happy, I just stuck it in the ground and now it wants to be a forest. Each time I go check on it, it’s much bigger and standing tall. Highly recommend this nursery/shipper.

Arrived ahead of schedule. Well packaged with healthy roots that were very moist. Plant is approximately 12 inches tall. Some leaves were damaged during shipping, but I expect it to recover.
