The XPlus 6500 is not Bottle Cage mountable
The XPlus 6500 is not Bottle Cage mountable which was a deal-breaker for me. When I bought it, the description did not suggest any difference between the two models. I only found out as I was watching review videos on YouTube waiting for it to arrive. Hope this helps someone else.Aside from that, hefty lock with a key. You just need to decide is this better/worse than something like the Kryptonite Evolution Series 4 1016 Chain Lock. More convenient, but less secure as it's easier to cut through these links than a chain link.

Great lock, flawed bracket
This lock does an excellent job of combining the strength and versatility. I bought the shorter one because it includes holes for mounting to the frame. This length works well for bike-specific racks, railings, and cart corrals. I keep it wrapped around the frame and the rear wheel on my Vado ebike. It seems very secure, but locks are never indestructible, and they're not a replacement for bike registration or smart parking. However, I have had the lock fall out of the bracket while riding. Currently, the bracket has a mechanism with arms holding the lock in place, which makes the lock easy to remove and store. I think the bracket could benefit from a clip or a lock to keep this mechanism from slipping and the lock from falling out.

Almost perfect
I wanted a pick-proof non-cuttable bike lock. As no such thing exists, I wanted the closest to the aforementioned bike lock as I could find. Enter the ABUS Folding lock 6500Plus. One of the hardest to pick and not easily compromised or cut. Look at videos and you will see that it takes a really super thief to get this off. So, I purchased this and so far I am very pleased because it does not weigh 15 pounds, like my last chain lock. It is, however, flexible like my last chain lock, but it is easier to carry-by far. The only thing that I do not like is that they make it too short: 110cm is the largest/longest and that barely goes around my two bike frames and back tires...with little room to spare for the bike rack. I absolutely love the bike holder attachment....holds solid to the frame and is completely out of the way and holds the folding lock perfectly. All of the materials in the folding lock and bike holder are quality. I carefully weighed all the options: pick-proof, cut-proof, weight and ways to carry the lock and this one came out on top. Again, I wish it were another three inches longer but otherwise I am pleased with the purchase. The price is steep, but the other lesser options can cost even more. Seller was excellent and prompt.

Awesome lock and easy to use
Heavy and super secure. Easy to mount and fits great on bike. Would definitely recommend for expensive bikes.

Great lock for hybrid bikes
For hybrid bikes, this lock is the solution. Hybrids have wider tires, and the rear wheel sits back farther away from the vertical seat post making U-locks disqualified from consideration because you can’t get 99% of U-locks around the rear wheel, frame, and a fixed (stationary) object to secure the bike. This lock solves this issue. I only use it along with a thick cable to secure the front tire for a four minute run in to a convenience store for an occasional bottle of water. I can’t speak for it’s effectiveness for keeping a bike safe overnight in a major city’s downtown area. I would use ten locks in that case. I’m not joking.

Really heavy duty
Rated 9 of 9 by the manuf. I haven't used it yet but suspect thieves will find another bike to steal. But note that it's a very bulky and heavy lock (3#, 7 1/4oz). Fortunately, this is for my eBike where the weight is less important. I initially wondered how I'd mount it...but I found a clever/simple way to strap it on my eBike

A beast!
I got this for my E bike, a Radpower Radrunner 2. It is almost too short to use with the bike, which has a really thick frame. However this lock is incredibly strong and well-made. I love how easy it is to mount on the bike and how little space it takes on the frame. I feel pretty secure that my pipe won’t be stolen with this lock on it, unless I do something stupid like leave it too long or overnight or something.

Look carefully at mounting! Straps only and not compatible with water cage lugs
The ABUS locks are awesome and I will get a different one. This one says on the box perfect for e-bikes and the pictures show "thru" holes in the mounting bracket. There are no thru holes and the strap mount system is not compatible on the my round tubes due to the batteries and is not compatible with my square top tube. Great looking quality and price, but could not mount on my e-bke

Good sturdy lock but sadly super heavy
The media could not be loaded. Having the lower level of security abus bordo i went for the maximum level 15 nowCompact sturdy but very heavy lock. Not sure about the holding cage as those springs look like they may break sooner than later considering how heavy the lock is...we shall see?Two keys given. One with a little light feature. Nice but not so necessary reallyLong enough but would go longer tbf as lock ain't flexible at all.Overall...not amazing for the amount of money. 6/10 Very heavy n far from pretty so let's hope at least hard to break through 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Robust, secure with minor caveats
The challenge of finding a lock that will work with chunky frames of aero carbon bikes is ongoing. I bought this as an alternative to my Abus Granite 540 D-lock for easier carry when out on my new bike. Not withstanding the rivet splitting vulnerability as demonstrated by LockPicking Lawyer (check him out on YT before you buy any kind of security device) this lock is very sturdy and adequate for the my risk. The only main downside is the lock bars rattle when in the holster which I am slowly solving with rubber bands.Generally I trust ABUS products, particularly the x-Plus core to secure my articles. The main trade off with this lock is it is heavier than the D-lock varieties.

110cm version is massive but does the job
I got this to be able to padlock my bike to the large lamppost that is next to the football pitch I play on every week. It fits round it comfortably. I had a 90cm version that just about made it round the same lamp but this one does the job very easily and the holder is well designed. It is pretty heavy as a result though.

Limited Usefulness
On the plus side, this lock can be mounted on a unisex or step-through frame without blocking access. It is also Sold Secure Gold rated for UK insurance purposes. On the downside, at 1760g this lock is heavy, yet 85cm just isn’t long enough to go round a lamppost or traffic sign pole due to the design of the links. However, the lock works very well with the “Sheffield” type bike racks if they are available. I also find it awkward to use.I suspect that the longer 110cm version may have sufficient reach but at 2332g it is 572g heavier than the 85cm version.

Heavy duty
The most secure folding locks on the market – one of the few that can claim a Gold Sold Secure rating. It is easy to use, has a large lockable area, and comes with a well-designed bike mount. It is unquestionably expensive, but this is largely justified by its performance and in being one of the only locks in this quite exclusive class.FOR+Very secure+Large lockable area+Bike mount includedAGAINST-Heavy-Only two keys included-Expensive
