REV X Ultra Syphon 1 in. x 10 ft. Shaker Siphon

The syphon hose works great, the only issue is when you first open the product to start using it. Due to being curled up for shipping reasons, the hose will often times be flattened and this constricts the fluid flow the first couple of uses. After the hose has been used a few times and left out in the sun to re-form itself it works great. This transfers water extremely quickly as we use it to drain covers that collect water from the rain.

This is bigger than the ones at the parts stores. 1” instead of 3/4”. It drains a five gallon gas can in half the time or better, and seems to prime better as well. I have one that’s much bigger, but it’s only good for siphoning fish tanks or a boat cover full of water. It’s too big for gas cans or gas fillers on boats or cars.

I rarely review products, but I felt compelled to review this siphon because of how impressed with it I am. I think it is more about the design than this particular one, but I was blown away with how quickly this will empty a 6 gal gas tank into my boat (as long as the tank you’re emptying from is higher). Just shake for a few seconds until you see a solid flow. I highly recommend going with a 1” diameter hose like this for any gas cans that will accommodate it as it really increases the flow rate. I was happy the hose was 10’ because I need it for my setup, but if I didn’t need that much I could easily cut it dow(and would because it’d be easier to handle). The hose is pretty flexible, which has some advantages and disadvantages. It’s easy to coal back up and move around and you can kink it to stop the flow if needed, but there were a couple spots that are narrower because of the packaging. I think they’re permanent dented in from that, but not too much.

Kiddie pool used as a duck “pond”, works great… must shake and maneuver at times more than expected however, eventually drains like a charm

I only got it to work once after trying for hours. Then the brass fitting fell off

The marble or ball jig was broken other then that these are amazing for 55 gallon fuel barrels
