I unscrew the top and squeeze a little into my palm. I don’t bother with the applicator. I use a separate makeup sponge. Truthfully, I don’t like the bottle or applicator but I love the makeup.

Which of the lighter shades have a cool pink undertone? hard to tell from the opaque bottles & photos online.

Porcelain is one with pink undertones, but not sure if that helps since it's very light. Actually the outer plastic tube, although it is not see -thru, pretty accurately reflects the color of the foundation inside. Take a look at a picture of the tubes in a group and you'll see how they are all different. AMAZON had some good pictures below ... I'm not sure how old your question is, but I'm getting 3 more tubes in different shades tomorrow so I'll come back and LYK which were mostly pink. I first ordered "naked" thinking it would be neutral even though I need pink undertones myself. It was too warm.. So I bought Porcelain to mix and balance the tones to a pinker hue. Now that it's on sale for half price, I ordered 3 more colors, all pink (beige, true beige, and the neutral- neutral, a pale color, since I think it will keep for next summer-- but I ordered all different shades, bc I'm pretty good at mixing them, and skin changes from season to season anyway. THIS has pretty high SPF for makeup but I think it is mostly chemical sunscreen, not sure, might also have titaium diox in it, but that should be easy to check online. I do prefer the mineral, but they aren't all good for coral reef. It seems we can't find something to take care of out skin and nature, both, but still trying. There are a few brands of sunscreen which guarantee safety to both human and sea life. I don't go swimming in makeup, but plenty of women go to beach and pool, wearing it! Neutral is a light color which you could mix some light pink gel blush, such as the BonneBell to alter the color of foundation. I always color adjust a foundation if I think it needs to be a little different although can wear most colors in the fair to light categories. I just don't like too much yellow.
