I appreciate that this Jamaican Black Castor Oil has Lavender Essential Oil added to it and that the lavender scent is not artificial fragrance. Not only does this fact cause this product to smell amazing, but since it has essential oil in it, there are extra health benefits I gain for my coarse, medium porosity, 3c/4a hair.I‘m glad the consistency of this oil is thick like a butter. By this product being thick, I believe the greasiness of it is reduced in comparison to regular JBCO. It works well at sealing moisture in my hair as part of using the LCO method. For $13.00 this eight ounce container is an excellent value, since using a small amount at a time is all that’s needed; a little goes a long way.

I have been natural for 11 years. My natural hair is very dry and can never hold a style. At the very thought of any type of moisture my hair would shrink to non existence (teeny weeny afro)! I didn't want to go back chemicals in my hair so I have been relying on wigs and half pieces for daily styling which is hot in the winter and costly. This product addressed every hair issue I had! Adds moisture to my hair, last a week with styles, good for my scalp, gives my hair stretch, length and smells great! Bonus make dry skin soft and smooth! I have been wearing my hair out ever since and even in light showers my hair is still manageable!

Took me a few days to realize it but this oil has finally done what no daily oil and moisturizer ( together or individually) has ever done for me in the winter. I have tried every oil fad and formula you can imagine. But because this castor oil formulation said I can use it on skin, not just hair, I tried it ( plus I am not sure about lavender in my high porosity 4c hair). And it smells great, I can actually smell the lavender. Does not rub on easy though cuz it's a thick gel, no slip like baby oil or other liquid oils, but not enough for me to drop it to 4 stars. And it is not greasy so good enough for me. Applying to wet or damp skin as I do with other oils, was not the way but recently towel dried skin works perfectly with this

I love this product it easy-to-use, gives my hair moisture, it changes the texture of your hair from brittle to softness, it gives you thicker hair, and your hair is more durable. It last longer in your hair so great value for your money, helps you sleep better. This product has many uses and for myself I have tried instore brands, but found this works best hair loss stopped grows much healthier. I highly recommend this product.

Received this product today in the mail. The bottle came in excellent condition. The castor oil butter has a lovely lavender fragrance. Very high quality hair moisturizer. A little goes a long way. The product is thick so you don't need that much per application. Goes on smooth on the scalp, a great moisturizer. Adds shine to hair. I will see how well it stimulates hair growth. But upon initial application I am very pleased with the way it makes my hair and scalp feel. This may be a game changer. Continued use over time will tell. Highly recommend product. Great scent and hair moisturizer.

The smell is awesome, like butter lavender. Thickness is very thick and tacky but I can deal with that knowing of the excellent benefits. It's smoothing as soon as it sits on your skin for a minute. It helped my scalp psoriasis so much!! I'm so hlad I found this because I was scratching until I saw blood under my nails. After one use, my scalp no longer itched!! Looking now to buy the shampoo and conditioner

I use this incredibly hydrating oil every day on my skin and hair. I enjoy the strong lavender scent, and value that the very only two ingredients are organic castor seeds and lavender essential oils! Sometimes, I mix the creme with coconut oil for a thinner body oil, but I also love it in its raw form. I keep a jar next to my bed for use in my nightly body massages. The lavender calms my nerves and the castor oil penetrates deep into the dermal layers. The dark glass jar is thoughtfully designed to be reusable after the product is finished. It is just another reason to value this moisturizer made with love from Jamaica 🇯🇲!
