Excellante Deluxe Stainless Steel Melon Baller with Wood Handle

I love melons and most of the melon ballers are almost 10 dollars.... this was very nice and quite reasonable...... thank you

I know this is a melon ball maker but I use it to core apples and pears from my orchard for use in pies and jams. The way this baller is constructed is unique in that the handle is flat and the bar that holds the scoops is flat so over time it doesn't swivel when you put pressure on it against the fruit. It is an improvement on the basic baller design and is well made and sturdy. I will get years of use from this simple tool.

I bought 4 of these for my daughter bridal shower. I wanted to scoop out wine ice cream. They are good, but in washing them the finish of the wood handeled came off on all four of them! Disappointing to have brand new melon baller look old!

This is a great melon baller even though I haven't actually used it for that purpose yet. What I have used it for was to make truffles to give as holiday gifts. This worked so well, I love the different sized ends and the wooden handle is comfy and easy to grip. I got many comments on how perfect my truffles looked. I'm very happy with this product!

Nice melon baller - couldn't find on in the stores.

The edges are smooth and the melon balls come out very even and round. The little hole in the middle allows them to release easily. The only issue is that the handle is a tiny bit loose.

Gets the job done, but the cups flatten at the bottom of the scoop. Would have been less stars, but actually works great for scraping cucumbers, pickles, etc for boats.

This product is okay, don't get me wrong for the price its pretty good. But I use these same ones at work and I got through maybe one each month just because the larger scooper actually breaks off. But you can buy a whole bunch of these so not really to much of a hassle.
