Really nice gift for my granddaughter

I was read these at school and loved them so bought them for my daughter. The language is a little outated as they were written in the 50s but my daughter adores them.

These are still as enjoyable as when I was child! My 4 year old boy is totally obsessed and it’s all we read every night at the moment!!!

My kids (and I) absolutely love this set! My son is six and my daughter is four. Even though there aren't many pictures, it easily keeps their attention and they'll want me to read several stories in a row. I can't believe I'm only now finding out about this author and this series! It's so much fun with great old fashioned stories. The author will ask questions every once in awgile throughout the stories and my kids love that, they always answer and it helps keep them listening
