Hoorah! It Works!
I've got a Roland FP7 (which has long been discontinued!!) and have always wanted to record music directly into my computer... But for some reason, I never got round to it. When I finally decided to do so, my digital piano was considered to be a super old model, and despite working brilliantly, Roland stopped updating its drivers. So I thought that even if I spent £50 on an interface, plus the required wires, I wasn't going to be able to connect it up to Garage Band. Well, I was wrong!!! I stumbled across this wire and what do you know? It works! You don't need to download any drivers. You literally plug it in and BAM! It works! And at the price, it's a bargain. So simple to use. Make sure your piano is off and Garage Band is closed. Plug the MIDI OUT wire into the MIDI IN on your piano, and plug the MIDI IN wire into the MIDI OUT on your piano. Then plug the USB part into your laptop. Then, switch on the piano. Then open Garage Band. Lower the volume on your keyboard. When adding a new MIDI instrument (piano, guitar etc.) you will be able to play/record the notes directly from your keyboard into your computer! Happy days!!!

Works perfectly!
Fair price and arrived quickly. Replaced a cheaper MIDI cable that died after just a few uses. Annoyingly I tried this new lead first with a USB -> Micro USB adaptor which refused to work. Bought yet another adaptor, (actually a cheaper one!) and it worked perfectly. It's tricky trying to troubleshoot whether it's the cable or the adaptor that's not working. Or both. There you go. Anyhow it's made learning using the 'Simply Piano' App much more accurate.

Great bog standard midi cable
Works perfectly. Nice LED's to show activity.Only thing I could say is that the round bit with the lights could be a little smaller.Overall great value.

A perfectly Ok unit but wish the cable was black.
A nice item that works perfectly. From an aesthetic point of view I'd rather a less cheap and 'blingy' looking cable.

iMac m1 + garageband. Works great
Not the highest quality, but for my little home studio on my iMac m1 and garageband it works perfectly with no latency.

Cables the wrong way around?
Everything works very well with this cable. However, I’m not sure if it’s a one off and mines slightly faulty as in input wire is actually the output wire and vice versa other than that it does the job well and it’s a good cable.

Easy Plug and Play Satisfaction
I am using the Midi Cable to connect a Windows 10 (x64) system to an ancient Yamaha S03 dual XG synth. I was expecting some problems because I had read the Yamaha XG synths were fussy about the midi interface but I needn't of worried. The operating system installed the midi port automatically and Cakewalk Pro was able to send and receive data without noticeable latency. I was also able to use some very old software called XG Gold. For the competitive price I have no complaints for home use but it looks a little fragile for a professional environment. I comes properly packed in a nice box.

Didn’t want to work with our electric drum kit / pc laptop link
Didn’t want to work with our electric drum kit / pc laptop link. No amount of playing with settings / drivers would make it work correctly and had either delays or missed beats. Got similar cheap alternative that worked straight out of the box. Therefore returned it - maybe you will have more success.
