Just bright enough for my taste and works for both kitchen and bedroom. Excellent dimming capability which has a warmer glow at lower settings. No flickering and able to look directly at them without burning my eyes unlike cheaper bulbs that were intensely bright to look at even though they produce the same level of room lighting. Color tone is excellent. Have 12 installed now in can lights and ordering other kinds for the rest of the house.

I have bought a lot of different brands of LED lights on Amazon. My pot lights would always flicker every now and again. I thought maybe the old dimmer could not deal with the lower wattage of LED versus incandescent. Nope. Change the switch and the same thing. These Philips lights have not flickered once. I think there is a real quality improvement in the ballast of the lights. Don't mess around with other "bargain" lights.

Does the job without a dimmer. On an older dimmer it’s not as happy.

Bought these for our kitchen in our new home. The contracted used some cheap LED bulb that you could see flicker. That's no longer a problem with these bulbs.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The only bulbs I buy when I need replacements. Let's be real. When we are buying LED bulbs, we expect them to last years and years. Not all LED bulbs are created equal. I have bought Sylvania and Feit and have had terrible results. Some of the bulbs only last a year or 2. With these, I don't have to worry about their lifespan. Once replaced, they last for years. When it comes to bulbs, you get what you pay for. This is now my highly preferred brand.
