Slip leash
Training the humans to be better dog trainers is tricky. This slip leash takes the guesswork out of using a slip lead for newby dog owners.

You can tell this is the same one he uses on TV
I don't know if it's different from other slip leashes but I bought it anyways. My only complaint is I can't slip it around my wrist with a slip knot and my dog likes to pull. I know I know it's a training leash not meant for regular walking. But I was out late with her just out front. She seen a neighbor and got away from me to get to him. My dog is non people aggressive and just wants to meet strangers. People with dogs like mine know what I mean. So she got loose from my grip. Luckily I'm not stupid and had her shock collar on with the remote around my neck. I was able to stop her with a quick zap and make her walk back to me. Just so you know it's goes to level 15 and I only use level 5 to snap her out of whatever triggers her. I use the tone first then the vibrate. The vibrate usually works cause she knows the shock is next. I hate to use it but sometimes you have to. Like hmmm, my dog got away and is about to jump in the lake and chase the ducks in the water. That needs a shock before she jumps in. The reason I use that example is I've done it. This sounds like a review on the shock collar which I also bought here. Believe me if you have a dog that is resistant get a shock collar.

Does help, but needs constant adjusting during walk
I watch so many Cesar television shows on how to correct dog behavior and see him use a Yellow version on the shows. I see there is not a yellow version of this lead available on the site so that was irritating because I wanted to get what he uses exactly from his show. Anyway, thanks to another reviewer, I knew to buy the "large" size of this for my 40lb dog because she made the mistake of buying the regular smaller size this site defaults to choose. The "large" is not very long, only 2 ft but maybe the rope is thicker. The rope is a light stretchy material so it does not chafe your hand, but it still burns after a while of your dog pulling and you trying to keep it from pulling. I could not imagine trying to use this on a dog bigger than 40 pounds because it feels like it is at it's max strength when I am dealing with mine.My dog likes to eat anything and everything on the ground as we walk so I needed this for the option of the muzzle control feature of the rope. As others have said it acts like the gentle leader halter.Pros: The adjustable slide to "secure" the loop size over your dog's head, behind it's ears is easy to move up and down. The black metal ring works well when you use the second circle to loop over your dog's muzzle. Every time she tries to open her mouth to eat something on the ground she can't.CONS: The adjustable slide to "secure" the loop is too easy to move and therefore I have to constantly push it back down on my dog's head while walking. I am trying to find a clamp of some sort I can clip behind this slider to keep it in place once my dog starts moving. As soon as it begins to slide up from movement, causing the neck hoop opening to widen and she is back to pulling hard.

Works Wonders
I was very skeptical that a leash could have my 75 pound 2 year old mastiff walk nicely. But I am now fully convinced! Watch a video of Cesear Milan using the leash and then try it with your dog. It took less than 5 minutes and he got it.

too much flex
EDIT: So I wanted to give this slip lead another chance but I think the issue is that since is flexes and if you have a really stubborn dog you'll notice that this will hurt the dog more than help. For instance a common training technique is to walk back and forth until the dog walks nicely and then go for walk, with this tool I've noticed that the dog never gets to that point because due to the flex the leash first sinches then pulls. If you want to give a small pop then its EXTREMELY difficult to gauge it (again, this sinches and pulls. Very hard to get even the smallest 'pop'). So you'll most likely end up over correcting and hurting your dog. The the flex on this leash is horrible. So close yet so far. This leash was almost perfect if it was made from a material that wasn't stretchy. This has too much flex so minor corrections have to turn into harder corrections because you end up just pulling and not giving a small pop due to the flex. My dog does respond well to the slip lead because it's the only collar/leash that stays at the top of the neck (yes you have to keep re-adjusting but that's all of them) but when I do a back and forth re-direct to train my pup not to pull the flex on this makes it difficult to get the result needed because it just ends up pulling on the dog sometimes making them more resistant.
