Good, high value emergency lights for a basement or similar space
We have a large basement with four rooms and two passages in it. I had a couple of small emergency lights/flashlights in it, but they were marginal to say the least. With six emergency lights, this kit provides ideal coverage, along with larger, brighter lights that allow me to see the electrical panels even with the power off. They're designed to be hard wired and my basement is suited to it, though as others have pointed out, you can attach a cord to them and use them that way. I don't think I'd use these in a domestic space like a bedroom -- they're overkill for that, too big, and their esthetic is more suited to a commercial space. It should also be noted that they're plastic rather than metal and that they're construction is on the lighter side, which could be in issue in an application where vandalism is an issue or they might be hit, although it should have no functional effect if it isn't. Within these constraints, though, they're an excellent bargain and I recommend them.
