Works great with NorTrac Towable Backhoe
It's not a perfect fit, but there is an easy work around without any modifications (look closely at the photo). I used it today on removed a big dead pine tree. It worked exactly what I was hoping for.Update (4/4/2025): DO NOT USE this thumb with the bucket on this machine. It will bend the bucket. I use this thumb with a ripper, and it works fantastic.

New Holland 757C Modification
The price was right. I had to do it. The New Holland boom is about a 1/4" wider than the unit. The least confusing way to explain what I did is I cut the boom mount in half (not as bad as it sounds!) By doing this the thumb will now mount inside the boom mount, not outside. This means that once cut in half. The "knubs" left on the pivot hole of the thumb will have to be cut and ground flush for it to swing into the stow position. This was actually the longest part. The pin that the support arm for the thumb pivots on will have to be cut to allow the thumb all the way up. Remember the thumb used to come up on the inside. Once cut you will have to mark and drill holes on the inside & insert cotter pins on either side to hold it in place (see picture.) Last I drilled and bolted a 1/4 piece of stock to support the back side. (see picture.) I know all of this sounds deep. But it's not bad. You need a 4" cut wheel, a drill, a couple cotter pins, and 3 longer bolts for the top of the boom mount. My boom mount sets where it's at to cover clearances with the bucket as well as the bucket cylinder. You'll see as you get into it what needs to be tweaked. I picked up some really heavy boulders. Maybe 3' x 2'. A few hundred pounds. It did mess up the some teeth tips on the thumb. I wished they were harder. But for the price it did good. You can always pull the thumb off and throw it on the bench to beef it up. This could have been welded and saved some time and purchasing the 3 bolts. I wanted to be able to remove it if need be. Good Luck. Be careful. You know both the manufacture and Amazon won't be liable & not recommend mounting this any other way than instructed by the manufacture. This write up is for educational purposes only!

Well made and works well
I was surprised by the build quality. It did require a shim to fit my Woods BH6500 as my boom is a little thinner. Also had to drill some new holes in the top bracket so l bolts would clear the hydraulic cylinder when the bucket is curled all the way in. Works well and worth the money. I recently broke up a bunch of yard boulders using feathers and needed something to help moving rocks and small boulder pieces (50 to 300 pounds). Does the job pretty well versus moving stuff by hand. Little bit of a learning curve but after about 20 minutes I had it down. Will be using to make a stone wall and it will be very helpful placing those 300 pound rocks in place. Should help save my fingers.

Could not firmly attach to Kubota BH70
No instructions were really included with the product. I should have known this was going to be a difficult install because they never even show a picture of this attached to the boom of a tractor. No matter what we tried, short of permanently welding it to the boom, we could not get it to not slip down and come in contact with the bucket's joint, which means the claw is way to close to the bucket for me to grab anything, let alone a log. This product might work with some tractors but I suspect they all have a similar issue. The company needs to come up with a lever clamping system that doesn't interfere with the top hydraulics and these things will sell like hot cakes.I love the powder coating and the thickness of the steel. I really wanted to like this product but its missing that one feature, that for me, drastically changes its usability. Thanks!

3.5" width!!!
So I love the thumb, but unless you want to modify it, pay attention to the 3.5" width for your boom. Mine was a half inch over and it would not fit. I did not want to return it because it seemed like it would do the job. So let the modifications begin.....lol.1. Bolt On (First 3 pics): So I cut it in half and bolted it on with longer bolts and one longer pin. The longer bolts and one longer pin would not allow me to put the thumb in the storage position but i was able to test it out. Whoooo yeah loving it!!! But not being able to put in in the storage position was bugging me and would be in the way when digging.2. Weld On: So had a welder come out and weld it in place. It was already bolted where I needed it and I knew it worked, so he welded it right where it was. Then I took the bolts out. You can see where he welded it across the top and sides of each side bracket. I may cut the excess metal off later, but for now they serve as a good protector for the hydraulic hose connection (already took a hydraulic fluid bath since owning the excavator...lol). Any way, no I can use all the positions of the thumb and it works great. Already moved several large branches and rocks.Great quality product....just pay attention to the size details and measure twice unless you are willing to modify it like I did. Hope my modification will last forever, but if not.....it was worth it in my opinion. Modify at your own risk but you will love it.Note: I have a Bobcat Mini-Excavator 418.
