Q: Will this work for thin tin corrugated siding?

The teeth are carbide coated, it should work on thin metal.

Q: I own a 1920 home, and its walls are made of lath and plaster. Does it cut through plaster?

Yes, it does. I used it on my 1910 home to cut in approximately 18–20 holes. One thing you need to consider is the thickness of the plaster and lathe to make sure the depth of the holesaw is appropriate. Good luck

Q: Will this work on usg glacier drop ceiling tiles? Has anyone used on a drop ceiling?

There are two basic types of drop ceiling tiles, the type found commonly in commercial buildings that are a soft and fragile foam material and for these the adjustable hole cutters are best, and the type that is hard like sheetrock and for this type the carbide grit fixed size hole cutters will work well.

Q: What type of drill would you use this with to cut holes in drywall ceilings?

Any drill will work! It does require a shank if you don’t have one. I used the Dewalt DW1803. Good set up and worked well. Tip: run the drill in reverse and the drill bit won’t wind up in your vapor barrier. This is one of the only hole saws you can do this with because it doesn’t use directional teeth to cut with.
