when you sate that the pump DOES NOT require an external control box, are you talking about a direct power control or the pressure switch?

This is a 2 wire (3 wires total). I have it connected to a pressure switch. Some pumps require a control box (not connected to a pressure switch). This pump does not require an external control box to work. It gets connected to a pressure switch.
