Can't Cut Bamboo The Handle Started Falling Apart After 5 Minutes Use
This machete arrived today and I used it a couple of hours later. Normally I give a product some time to test it out before I reviewing, but this machete started falling apart within minutes of use. I was a huge disappointment. The handle started getting loose within minutes of use, you can hear the handle shaking and you can see the screws getting loose. You cannot even tighten the screws unless you have a special driver as you need a special driver that matches the star design of the screw heads. The blade is super dull, I tried sharpening it and it got marginally better, but not much. The bamboo required several blows to cut. Instead of a nice cut, you get very unattractive blunt force cuts from the repeated blows. It comes with some fancy string thing that likewise started falling apart shortly after discovering the handle was vibrating. I sharpened the blade and it was support soft and made no difference. My cat liked the string that fell off, but not worth the $20. I would not buy this again, nor would I recommend anyone buy it. Not sure if I can return this as it is literally now junk with all kinds of things falling off. The saw I tried and it worked so so, but I bought it as a machete not a saw.

Not too sharp upon arrival but seems sturdy
This machetete works eh, ok, was really hoping it would arrive as being exceptionally sharp to where a swipe through some briars etc. wouldn’t stand a chance but unfortunately it takes many whacks of the blade to really get a good cut. Nevertheless the sheath is good and it seems to be holding up so we’ll see what happens after I give it a good sharpen.
