They mix copper & iron for base metal. Usually about 25% copper 75% iron. Then plate it.

Are these hypoallergenic?

It didn’t say but I’m very sensitive to necklaces (I get skin color changes and irritations) but these don’t bother me at all which has been awesome.

Do they make your skin turn green

yes, they do. I wish I knew how to return them. I have tried 2 different chains aandbth turned my neck green and the plating cxame off when I tried cleaning them with jewelry cleaner.
