Expensive but worth it.
I suffer with hyperhydrosis, have done since being a teen (now late 30s) and have always struggled finding something that works. I settled with a 96hr antiperspirant but after a few years this is no longer working, and I'm at the age where I'm conscious of the aluminium. I was sweating and smelling by 9.30 in the morning and having to reapply multiple times. I've tried deodorants before but they've just never cut it. Having read the reviews I figured I had nothing to lose by trying this, and I'm so glad I did. I'm a week in and have not smelled of b/o once, despite being at work, dancing around the house with the kids, and lugging a toddle around who decided he didn't want to walk anymore on the school run. I have still sweat but nowhere near as much as I thought I would, and actually less than with the antiperspirant. It's been minimal. The first couple of days when I felt myself getting a little damp I was a bit paranoid so reapplied, but once I found the confidence I realised I really didn't have to. Yes it's a little grainy looking but it doesn't feel grainy, they're soft lumps that easily rub away into your skin. I also bought a key from here to help turn it, not the Akt brand, just a generic one for £4 and it really helps. Hopefully it will last a while then I will try another scent.Edit: it's expensive but has lasted me 8 weeks and that's applying twice in the early days until i built up the confidence to realise i really didn't need it as i didnt smell. I'm just about to try another scent. As it got hotter I tried a refillable antiperspirant (sold as the first of its kind) as well as my original antiperspirant and on both occasions I was sweaty but also started smelling, something I haven't once noticed whilst using AKT. I also feel like I was somehow sweating less with the balm than with the antiperspirant but I have no idea how that would work. Anyway, if you're unsure then it's worth a try.

Oh, I LIKE this!
The "Orange Grove" AKT deodorant arrived this morning, bright and early.Nice packaging. I also shelled out for the AKT Assistant (cheaper tube rollers are available), which came separately, and nicely, wrapped. So, with a demanding Crossfit session ahead of me this morning, and then rushing hither and thither as you do on a day off, I thought I'd put this deodorant through its paces.First of all though, it's a deodorant, not an antiperspirant. The two are not the same, though are often combined. So, to AKT:The "Orange Grove" variety smells absolutely luscious. Citrus-y, but warm, not bitingly acidic. Neroli, petitgrain, and orange are three delicious essential oils. The heat and humidity here are ridiculous and very unpleasant. The gym has no A/C, just roller doors that open front and back to pick up any breeze. Yes, I sweated, but a swift check of my under arms and my wet with sweat t-shirt found that I smelt mildly of orange-y odours, and nothing else. The rest of me was absolutely pouring with sweat - sorry -, but oddly, for a deodorant, I wasn't sweating as much as I usually would from under my arms when not using antiperspirant. I've tried various stick crystal type non-chemical deodorants, and they fail under the pressure of a demanding Crossfit session.I was rushing around thereafter doing various things, before coming home for a shower, and STILL no smell. So far, and on its first outing, I am impressed! I shall continue to use and will come back and edit in a couple of weeks. On today's showing, I recommend this product.

It would’ve been better in a glass jar because it is hard to squeeze out .
Arrived on next day delivery okay? A bit smaller than it looks in the picture today in the UK is very warm. I just washed my van and to be honest the smell seems to get stronger which is good. And no sweating My only concern is what is the material that it’s containing because if that’s aluminium then it doesn’t make sense and it is quite hard like people say to squeeze out With a product why did they not just put it in the amber colour jar? Glass jar or glass jar would’ve made sense at the price but if anybody knows what type of metal is contained please let me know because if it’s aluminium it will be returned And thing that they sell separate to squeeze it out with should’ve came with it at this price

Like the Product detest the Packaging
So there are lots of things I really like about this product. The scent is divine, and I appreciate that there is no gendering of scents (mostly because I don’t like most products aimed at women since I don’t want to smell like an engineered vanilla pod). I like the effectiveness of the products and I really like that this dries down so unlike most natural products there isn’t a constant film of oil. I find it very effective, and I don’t mind applying with my fingers. The packaging is a nightmare though. I do appreciate the move to make it as eco friendly as possible, but a tube is just not fit for purpose. If you roll it over at the top (without the key thingy that is sold separately) then the tube tears and there’s oil leaking out. If it must be used with the key roller then that should be 100% transparent before purchase. I suspect it might not leak using the key because it would prevent stress points. I understand the aim is to make fully recyclable packaging (on board) but that only works if the packaging is fit for purpose and this is not. The top on the tube is too small to stand it on end, which would help with the seepage issue. I could put it in a plastic bag to prevent the spillage spoiling my furniture but then that defeats the purpose of the plastic free packaging. I also understand why selling the key roller packaged with each tube is not desirable (cost, waste etc) but if the key is the key to joy it needs to be clear. I like the scent (if this was a fragrance I’d be all over it), I love the eco friendly objectives, I like the performance of the product and the overall experience. Please do something with the packaging so I can be a firm fan.
