Q: Are they 1ohm stable?

Each speaker is rated at 4 ohms. If you put 4 of them in parallel you'd get 1 ohm. But most pro audio amplifiers are rated down to around 4 ohms. Usually car amps go down to 1 ohm in order to get the high power output from 12 volts. These sound very good in a live audio setup.

Q: How well will this woofer work in a radio shack optimus mach 3 speaker? will the mounting holes align properly?

Usually all mounting screw holes are standard, but I am not sure of your radio shack optimus. But if you use wood screws in the holes that don't align you should be good.
