I last used gels pens maybe three or four years ago and my only memory of the ones I bought back then is that they were scratchy and inconsistent, making them no fun to use. Not so with these Castle Art Gel Pens. From the very first moment I started using them I could see that they were of the highest quality. The colours are vibrant and the gel flows freely, making them a joy to use either for colouring or writing. There is an incredible variety of shades available and the different types of effect (neon, glitter, pastel, swirl and more) means there are so many combinations and possibilities. They are also really comfortable to hold. The plastic pouch is sturdy and each gel pen slots nicely into place within it. Out of the 60 pens I’ve tried so far there has been only one that needed a bit of encouragement for the gel to flow, and there are a couple where the glitter doesn’t seem to be as well incorporated into the gel as with the others, however these are extremely minor quibbles that I have detailed only in an attempt to give the fullest picture possible. I have also purchased Castle Art coloured pencils recently that I have yet to try out and on the basis of the gel pens I am very much looking forward to giving those a go too. If you are looking for a product that combines quality, variety and value for money then these are the ones for you!

These are fantastic pens! I've bought countless packs of gel pens in the past, some a lot cheaper and others more expensive than this back and I can honestly say that these are the best I've bought. They come presented in a really nice, sturdy box which I thought was a lovely touch and makes them really nice to give as a gift. They really shout 'quality' just from the presentation and packaging...it's obvious straight away that they're not cheap, foreign, half filled scratchy pens. I've tested each pen and they all work (I've bought other brands where there would always be a couple that didn't work) the ink flows really well, the colours are amazing and they're really comfortable to hold. I've bought them to use in my journaling Bible and I know they're going to be prefect for that. The company offer a 'Colour Happiness Guarantee' where they will refund or replace if there are any issues. I got an email from Penny from Castle Art Supplies shortly after ordering which thanked me for my order and explained that they're a small, home based company, this made me feel even happier about my purchase as I'd much rather buy from small businesses. Overall I haven't got a single complaint. I will update this review after I've used the pens more.

Absolutely fantastic gel pens, variety of colour's, ink flows gently on paper and tip dose not scratch paper. Tip works well in fine line colouring. Easy to use with arthritis hand. Very pleased with item, glad I chose them. Thanks to other purchases for you imput which helped me make my decision.

I am a bit disappointed , a couple of pens don't have much ink in. And a few don't work at all. And i haven't tried the glitter ones yet. The ones that work are lovely. So smooth , ink flows and colours bright. Bought mainly because of good reviews. As they were quite expensive i had expected them all to work. Not sure i would buy again.

Absolutely fantastic pens,.joy to use. Bought them for colouring in and do not regret doing so would buy them again. Have bought other gel pens and some I have found to be scratchy. Gorgeous packaging very impressed. Ink flow brilliant. Good value for money

Wish I had not bought these....quantity is not everything... Quality is much more important. I love Castle Arts, I have been a very good customer..but...this time not so good. One coloured pen broken, ink file right out of pen, another top came off but I sort that, most pens hard to open, most needed scribble to get going, not much ink in pens, must remember to be more careful next time...sad, not excited...castle Art

This is my first time using gel pens so didn't want to spend a fortune on them at this early stage. I saw the Castle Arts set of 100 for less than 30 pounds so decided to give them a try. What an absolute joy! They are absolutely fantastic and have a great range of colours and sheens (glitter, neon, pastels, metallic, glitter/neon combo, and 4 classics (red, blue, black and green)). My only issue is with the white, which doesn't seem to work. I gave a 5 star rating because the rest are great and it didn't seem fair to penalise for only 1 pen not working. I don't know how long they will last as I have never used gel pens before but I would have no hesitation in buying these gel pens again.

Love, love, love these. I really enjoy colouring with my young daughter but due to arthritis in my hands, pencils were very painful to use due to pressure. These pens are a delight to use and allow me to sit and colour as long as my six year old which is a new thing for her! The colour variety is brilliant and the colours themselves are vibrant and beautiful and they are easy on fingers and hands. If you're looking for gel pens for colouring, this is a set well kitted out for the job!

Estos bolígrafos de gel son muy buenos y no se atascan siempre y cuando no se usen sobre líneas previamente hechas con lápiz de grafito o tiza ya que en este caso se ensucia la punta y no corren bien. Si se usan sobre superficies de plástico demoran un poco en secar, en cambio si se usan sobre láminas de dibujo lisas o con algo de rugosidad se secan más rápido. Por lo demás me han encantado, sobretodo por la variedad de colores, lo cual me viene súper bien para mis proyectos de dibujo e ilustración.
