Great little purchase - reasonable price and no complaints
Excellent value for money and works well. You need to get used to knowing which heads to use for loose coffee grounds versus ESE pods but once you do it works very well. The heads are easy to change and can be kept in the little compartment next to the water reservoir. The water reservoir is easy to refill. The drip tray needs to be kept clean but is dishwasher proof if needed. The noise level is reasonable and not a major nuisance. The water drips through at a reasonable rate and creates a good coffee if used with good grounds or pods. I bought a set of four espresso cups which rounded off the purchase.

Amazing coffee machine
This coffee machine is actually so much fun to use and makes fantastic coffee. It's not too loud and very easy to use. It looks super high quality and all components feel nice and sturdy.

Great starter machine – with a little upgrade, it’s a proper café at home
Stylish, compact, and makes a solid espresso straight out of the box – this little De'Longhi is a cracking entry into the world of manual coffee machines. The 15-bar pressure gives a decent crema, and the milk frother does a lovely job for cappuccinos or lattes. BUT – if you really want to fall in love with it, do yourself a favour and get a bottomless portafilter and a 4-cup basket. The one it comes with is fine for casual use, but the upgrade lets you brew stronger, smoother shots with much better flow and less fuss. It really brings the machine to life. ☕️ Pros: – Lovely retro green colour – looks great on the counter – Compact but powerful enough – ESE pod compatible for lazy days – Frother actually works (unlike many budget machines) – Auto shut-off is a nice touch ⚠️ A note for coffee geeks: You’ll outgrow the included portafilter quickly if you’re aiming for barista-style coffee. But for the price? It’s still an excellent bit of kit. Would I buy it again? Yes. But I'd get the bottomless portafilter at the same time next time.

Very loved coffee machine, would not want to be without this
10/10, this has been used on a daily basis and continues to work well. There have been no issues, can do single and double espressos. It is easy to clean and change. Milk frother works well and makes excellent coffee. Would highly recommend. This has saved me money as I no longer want to buy coffee when out because I know I can make nicer coffee at home.

A nice, good quality, reasonable priced coffee maker
This is my first “proper” coffee machine. I’ve wanted one for a long time and finally bought this based on price and the positive reviews. I think it is a good machine for the money, makes a nice cup of coffee and looks good on the kitchen counter. I don’t have anything negative to say about it. The only thing I would say is that I don’t use it as often as I thought I would. On some days I enjoy the ritual of making a good cup of coffee but for speed of drinking that coffee I still use coffee bags which I find, having tried several but now found one I really enjoy, make a good cup of coffee.

Good deal but machine is faffy
It's cheap, and unfortunately the issues are many. Starting with.... Coffee temperature is a lukewarm 63 degrees, I get that it is so you do not "burn " the coffee, but, when you have to mess around with the milk frother, it becomes an issue. We used a temperature gauge, using the frother, the green light ON. The first hit with the frother took the milk to 33 degrees, and then, wait until the green light was on again, then, froth again. The temperature goes up in 17 degree increments. So after 4 uses of the frother, the coffee is now less than 50 degrees, and the milk at 80 degrees, you lose temperature as you are now pouring the hot milk onto cold coffee.. Unfortunately, this is definitely not acceptable, and, by the time you've made 2 cups of coffee, you've just wasted over 10 minutes of your life. Then, to empty the coffee grinds, you follow the instructions, and "tap tap", and the whole unit (portafilter) that you put the coffee into, falls out into the bin. EVERY TIME. The handle,(basket) that you turn to lock the coffee into the machine, you have to be a body builder to turn this as its so tight, you can barely lock it in position. The milk frother, you must NOT follow the user instructions at this point, if you do, you end up with milk inside the frother pipe, which if left is going to be very unhygienic. You really need to take the pipe off and wash it, then, clean the unit itself. Yes it's a good black Friday deal, BUT, it's not a good machine in so many ways, which is a shame as it does make a good, if lukewarm coffee.

Love it
Got this on Black Friday and it’s amazing. Has changed my morning coffee routine for the better. It’s a good size, doesn’t take up lots of space and brews a lovely coffee which tastes so much better! Fully converted from instant now. It’s quick to heat up and pours at a steady pace. It’s not overly loud either.

Goldilocks and ese pod compatible
I've been a bit like Goldilocks and her porridge trying to find a reasonably priced machine that takes ese pods. This one is a keeper because: ESE pods fit nicely in the single filter - I use Borbone Gold as they are strong, rich and a good price - no messy grounds to deal with so Happy Days. The frother arm is adjustable/maneuverable so I can use a reasonably sized metal jug. The inner "wand" is rubber and because of the larger than average, metal outer tube it produces a decent head of froth. The coffee (cappuchino in my case) is always piping hot because of the steamed milk. The knack to release the filter from the basket is to firstly insert the filter lining up the 2 dimples on the filter with the rebates on the basket. To remove it slip the lip of the 2nd basket (same way up) under the filter by the rebate that has the little "spring" in it. A quick twist and out it will pop. Reasonably priced, easy to clean, doesn't take up too much counter space and it even has storage space for the 2nd filter that isn't in use. One satisfied customer : )
