I use them for my toddler, if you know toddlers you know sometimes they can particular. Right now she doesn’t enjoy her food touching so this has helped. They also work great for portion control for adults. Obviously you can’t use them in the microwave which is a drawback. I didn’t think that through when I purchased. I was looking originally for something that would replace her plastic plates since I know now how harmful microplastics can be especially when used for heating food in. Easy to wash in the sink and I’ve never had problems with food sticking to the plates. They are a little smaller in comparison to my dinner plates as shown in the pics. My husband teased that they look like they belong in a cafeteria or mess hall. So yeah not aesthetically pleasing to most but perfect for portion control or littles.

So, this metal portion control two (2) plate set is somewhat helpful. What I found really great about this portion control plate set is that it works pretty well for portion control. You have these divided up spots on the plate that will help you limit your food portion sizes. Another plus about these plates is that they are sturdy and pretty easy to use. When I first received these plates, I immediately washed them and put them inside my plate cabinet. They have been inside my cabinet for over a week now...I have not seen any signs of rusting. Now, here are the downsides to these plates (hence my 4 star rating). Since they are metal, you cannot heat them up in the microwave. Also, another thing to keep in mind is that metal holds heat! You must be very careful placing hot food onto these plates. You will need a pot holder, when attempting to handle these plates with hot food on them. Lastly, since these are metal plates...you can basically use them for either cold food items or the food must come right off of the stove and onto the plate (since you cannot microwave these plates). In my opinion, although these plates are pretty good for food portion control..when I really think about it, these plates are not that good for convenience. If you want to use these plates for hot food, either you have to warm that food up on a DIFFERENT (nonmetal) plate or container and then transfer to the metal portion control plate. The other option is to cook the food and then immediately placing it onto the metal portion control plates, in hopes of not burning your hands (meaning you always have to have pot holders nearby) Frankly, I would recommend these plates to someone who eats a lot of cold food. I think only then, would these plates work in their favor.

Definitely going to help me with portion control, sturdy but not horribly heavy.

Use these for plates to feed my cats. The divided sections work great to keep wet and dry food separated. Best part- my dogs can't chew them up!!!

Easy to wash, practical and stack small

These are great and my toddlers like them. They do stain from going in the dishwasher so it's likely best to hand wash. They are very lightweight.

Great for portion control.

I got these Stainless Steel Plates to use for camping. They are well-designed with a really nice thickness that makes them sturdy without being too heavy. And I was surprised to find, at least in my experience, that they don't get too hot with hot food. In terms of width, they are a good size, but they aren't very deep overall and the internal dividers are even shallower. They are deep enough to keep a little sauce from baked beans from running but not for really containing anything. They are very easy to wipe clean. I've only handwashed them so I've not experienced any discoloration. I am so glad to have something reusable that isn't plastic to eat off of when camping. Overall, I think these are a great buy, very worth the money.
