Very Happy With This Inverter:
I received this Inverter and Installed it into my work van to run (2) 20 volt battery chargers, and also to use (3) of the USB outlets. Having used a couple of different brands of 400 Watt inverters, I was very happy to see that this did not get hot under the same power conditions of the previous 400 Watt inverters. It is made very well, and even though it's early, it comes with a full 18 month warranty and I am very happy with this Inverter, it's made of good quality, and runs very well... Will do a follow-up in the future. And the price was very reasonable for this unit..

Perfect for charging devices while on the road.
Went on a trip and hooked this inverter up to the cigarette plug in a 2011 Prius. This product works as expected. Used it to charge 2 cell phones, an iPad, and a Nintendo Switch. Also connected an air mattress pump without any issues. The fan was quiet and barely noticeable. It didn't get hot. Fit perfectly in the center console. Perfect for laptops and gadgets. The key thing about this product is to know the limits of this device and your cars cigarette lighter port. No blown fuses or devices.

Great small unit!
I purchased this in 2018. Since then I have had no issues using in the car or the boat. Never had an issue using my laptop or phone for charging. As of late, this has been the primary unit I keep in the car to plug in the tire inflater. The unit will not run my small 1 gallon shop vac but for charging electronics it has never failed me. Do your homework to make sure it will run what you want to run but other than that, its been very dependable and worked like a charm.

Work great and very quiet when turned on no overheating
Very quiet when I turn it on and doesn't get hot at all. I use this all the time in my van to power my phone charger and drill batteries. The only thing I cant run is a heating pad, which in the description it did say you could power it with this power inverter. When I plugged it in the inverter went into a protective mode I'm assuming. I just unplugged the pad and turned the inverter off and then back on and it was fine to charge phones and such. Other than that it works great. Has a power on and off switch.

Loud fan, squarest of square wave output
On the plus side, it works. I used a PC as a test load both to test the inverter and car battery that I recently replaced from my car, and it happily ran at a kill-a-watt-measured 150-175W or so for as long as the battery still had a charge. However, to do so, the inverter is about as annoying as it could possibly be. The fan runs all of the time regardless of load or temperature, and it’s loud. It’s about a 40mm job, and not only does it have a fair bit of volume to it, it also has a really irritating, whiny sound signature to it. At a range of 15-20 feet, this is quite evident in a quiet environment. As expected, because this isn’t a sine wave inverter, some equipment will react to the square wave output. The power supply of the PC I used to test did buzz significantly, but I’ve had that reaction to UPSes in the past, too.Basically, this is a decent, cost-effective option for occasional use or environments where the fan noise is not a big deal. For indoor use, I can see the fan noise getting old pretty quickly. It’s a shame, because a choice of a quieter fan would have made this an infinitely better option. I’m tempted to go mod this to replace it with something a bit more civilised.

Worked great for laptop and cell phones
Bought this so my kid could plug her laptop in and use it with her cell phone on a 1,800 mile round trip during the Thanksgiving holiday week. Worked like a charm - powered her laptop the whole drive and also charged two cell phones at the same time. The charger plug is a bit loose - I had to take needle nose pliers and gently bend the side tabs of metal out a bit to make a snug fit so it would not come loose in the charger receptical in the back of the SUV. I suggest you test it out on a local drive before you use it for a long, extended drive like I did, in case the plug you get with your order is also a bit loose.

Rugged little unit that will last forever
I have two of these 400w inverters and love them. Typical Bestek quality in that they just WORK. My first powered my life over 60k miles all over North America while sucking in dog hair and dust due to a poor mounting location under my center console. The second now powers my RV.I did have one issue with the second one, but later found out that it was getting an error due to a low voltage cut out. My biggest complaint was that before realizing the error was not the fault of the inverter but myself I attempted a warranty return at Bestek as they are supposed to have a 24mo warranty. In broken Chinese english, they refused saying to go through Amazon. This was disconcerting, but fortunately later found out i did not need a replacement. Do not expect warranty repairs on these units is the worst I can say....not that I expect you will need to.
