Great all around rod and reel
Great action for different fishing... we have rivers and lakes, trout, bass, bluegill... so the action and speed work well. It's two piece, but that lets me take it in my car. Seems well made, the specs certainly check all the boxes. Very happy, especially in this price range.

Lews rods are great, got several, but a broke rod is not so great.
It arrived broke, never had a problem before but this time I guess was my turn. First time I have ever had a problem, so I guess it was due. It was fixable, but who wants to do that on a new rod? All my other lews rods are not brake down rods. They are fixed rods. The box it came in was crazy wide but short, that should have been a dead giveaway.

Not a casting rod! it is a 2 piece spinning rod combo!
The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because of the product description. It states that the combo is a bait casting Combo. It is not! It is a spinning reel! Which works for me because I fish a lot of tournaments and this set up is perfect for finesse fishing shaky heads, drop shot, light Texas rig, weightless senkos etc.). Only other down fall is that it's a 2 piece rod. I NEVER use 2 piece rods, so I will be putting the reel (which is very smooth and works nicely) on one of the many rods I own. For a 2 piece rod the quality is decent. Good backbone and decent sensitivity. I just hate 2 piece rods! Definetly a great Combo for the price. And even the lowest quality of lews is good quality. I'm a lews guy all the way for reels. And a percentage goes to the troops which is awesome! Of you want a 2 piece spinning outfit for cheap, this is for you!

Photo is wrong.
This is not a bait-caster but a spinning reel. But it is really smooth action. Would keep but am making the transaction to a caster. For the money it’s a nice spinning combo.

Good brand and better than most medium action
Lews are great fast action but made in China...I prefer the usa version but so far so goodCaught few 20lbs+ drums w no problem

Great for what it is.
You aren’t going to horse in anything huge, but if you use it for small bass, crappie, etc... it performs great for the money. Cast a mile with Godline X8 20lb braid.

Disappointed loyal customer
Love lews fishing gear. Probably own 8 reels. My favorite company. Rod and reel came in. Reel is perfect but tip was broken of rod. Heart broken. I hope lews fixes this for me. Thanks. I give 2 stars because the reel is nice and smooth like you would expect from Lews
