It just works really well!
I really can't find anything NOT to like with this system. I am a bit of a TONEaholic and I can't tell a signifigant difference between this and med. quality guitar cords. It's very simple to use. It makes NO noise when you either plug into your guitar or take it out. And best of all, NO MORE CORDS to get tangled up - the freedom and sheer lack of aggrevation is intoxicating! And, unless you plan on roaming about a stadium-sized stage, I wouldn't bother spending the extra money on the super long-range one. This one works flawlessly in every corner of my 800 sq. ft. room and beyond..

Great Wireless
I play with my church worship group so I don't have to move alot. I just don't like constantly battling with a cable getting under my feet constantly. I hand an XVive before this but it died. This isn't quite as convenient as a "dongle" type wireless but it has the charger built into the receiver. My receiver is powered by my pedalboard PS so its convenient to simply plug the transmitter into the receiver. I haven't ran it all day to see how long the charge lasts but the longest it'll be turned on for me is 3 hours at church or several hours at home.

It's monaural...which means you only get sound in the left channel
This was meant to be the first pedal on my acoustic pedalboard, but it only gives me half a signal to work with. So doesn't work with any of my stereo pedals, makes headphones useless for practicing and figuring out the sounds I want (most of what I hear is the acoustic sound in the room unless I turn the left channel up to an unhealthy level), and worst of all it only sends the left channel to the PA. Even if I plug a guitar cable into the input jack on the side of this pedal (which I thought was going to be a handy back-up plan for live performing), it becomes monaural from that point forward...even as it feeds through my Boss TU-2 tuner pedal that never had a problem outputting a mono signal in both channels before I put the WL-50 in front of it. Perhaps there is some technical magic I'm not aware of that could spread the monaural signal into both channels, as I'm fairly new to the pedal world being an acoustic player, but I can't fathom why a monaural pedal would ever be of any use to anyone who wasn't playing an electric guitar into a single amp...and the WL-50 is marketed to acoustic players. A search of the Boss site says there's no solution, so clearly I'm not the first to question this poor design. This is the second time I've gotten excited about a pedal only to have it fail on such a simple and basic concept that every other pedal I have does perfectly...which is put your mono signal in both left and right channels. The first time it was an inexpensive Flamma reverb pedal, so I figured that was a "get what you pay for" situation and sent it back. But this is BOSS and it's a $250 pedal, plus $30 more for the not-included PSA-120S power cable. I bought this to replace an Xvive U2 wireless (which was horribly unreliable, but could at least transmit a mono signal in both channels), so this was meant to be a considerable upgrade. It does seem to work well so far in terms of getting the monaural signal from the guitar to the pedalboard and the one channel I can almost hear I guess sounds good, so this is a big disappointment. I was actually leaning toward the Shure GLXD-16 wireless system, which has a much stronger reputation, but I was a few days late to the party and they seem to have now been discontinued and are harder to come by. So I figured, "hey, it's Boss...what could possibly go wrong?" And now I know.

One of my favorite guitar-related purchases
You will not regret gaining the freedom from being tethered to your pedalboard or amp. What an improvement! I don't use the cable emulator, although it does make a slight difference in tone. The automatic channel selection is fine for my purposes, since I'm never in a venue where there will be more than one or two wireless rigs. The transmitter can be charged by the receiver or by a USB cable, so I can make sure it's charged, even when the pedalboard is not powered on. The receiver is "pedal-sized", so it easily fits on the pedalboard and it has an input jack that overrides the wireless system, restoring the standard cable connection in case of a radio failure or dead transmitter battery. I love this thing!

Best wireless device vs others
Best product when talking wireless. Compared to the line 6, its better in battery life, doesn't have that issue with the power jack connection. It has in out power connection thus it does not need an additional power connection. The tone cable option is very coolQuality is great. Only issue is that it does not auto switch off if no use, also transmitter needs to be removed from the base if not used otherwise the battery will drain.Overall. Its a great deviceHighly recommend

Freedom from the cord
This transmitter has worked wonderfully for me. Completely quiet when I plug in and disconnect. I had an issue with the unit not charging my transmitter properly. Turns out this was because in order to charge, the base unit needs 320 mA. The circuit that I had this plugged into in my voodoo labs ISO 5 was only delivering 100 mA. When I switched over to a circuit that delivered 400 mA, charging worked fine. You can also charge the transmitter with a USB cable which is convenient. I bought this unit because of the convenience of charging through the 12 V power source in my pedal board, it’s working seamlessly. Roland‘s support was awesome prompt and extremely helpful in sorting the shop.

So much potential
I purchased this unit with high hopes, price for what is being offered is fantastic, it fits on a pedalboard with ease, was able to be powered and charge the dongle with my Cioks DC7 and the overall form factor is very good, small footprint with simple connectivity. However, I had to return item as I could not get a clear single unless I constantly cycle power to find a frequency that did not have lots of static and distortion.I am afraid these days general 2.4ghz is just way to susceptible to the many frequencies that modern devices and WiFi use.I will keep looking, perhaps at some point Boss would consider a 5ghz updated version.
