Can this be used on a leather chair?

I think it is too weak for most furniture. It is good for small items like pillows, but the clasps are not strong enough for chairs or sofas. I have a material couch and the buttons popped out after a week. I would spend the money and buy the C.S.Osborne . No. 417 - Tufting Needle ( MPN# 64386) & No. 418 - Tufting Clasps, 100 pack ( MPN# 14388).

What is the best twine to use with this? I’m trying to repair a button on my couch.

Wax coated for sure, it’s available through Amazon too.

I have a leather executive high back chair and the seat button popped off will this tool fix it? I was told a german needle would work?
