Old coins
I thought that these coins were awesome! 2,000 years of history is hard to find, but they are also affordable. They came in a little plastic bag... even dirty. I have spent a few weeks cleaning 4 of them, but they are great! I just wish that I could have found them myself.

Not worth the $
Stated in the description: "Very few coins will be close to blank. " This is a lie. 12 of the 24 are blanks. Only one coin is barely identifiable. I would have had more fun looking for slugs at a construction site. I have over the years ordered uncleaned coins and have a collection of about 120. I used to order from World Trade Bureau before they closed. This batch from this supplier is by FAR the worst group of uncleaned coins I have ever received. Do not waste your time, money or effort with is slugfest of a company.

Anyone buying these that thinks they’re going to get coins in perfect condition is fooling themselves. These are PERFECT for the price, and a great way to start a new hobby and own a piece of history. I’ve made multiple purchases and have had the coins authenticated. Thank you

Good activity or introduction to ancient coins for kids.
Bought 2 sets as a project for the kids. These are what collector’s term as cull coins. Don’t expect much in terms of quality coins and you will not be disappointed. Watch a few videos on YouTube on cleaning old coins without damaging the patina and you’ll have a good rainy day educational activity.

Historic teaching for kids
These coins are fantastic. I'm currently having them sit in distilled water. In a few days, the kids will help me clean them. We will also discuss Roman history, culture etc. Just thinking of the ancient people that held these coins. Sm very satisfied with this purchase.

Deceptive Photos
The pictures show a variety of sizes. That was the only reason I made the purchase. All of mine are basically one size & all identifiable coins are the same type. These look like they all came out of the same hole. Waste of time and money.

Sharing the coins
I was presenting on the Roman Empire to my Assisted Living Residents (I work in activities). At the end after showing them some of my coins i had them each pick a coin and clean it up, check it out and take it back to their apartments to keep. They loved having a piece of roman history and having something 2000 years old. The only drawback was five of the coins even when cleaned were impossible to discern either side and so were 'useless' for this activity
