VHT SP731 Real Red Brake Caliper Paint Can - 11 oz. by VHT

I thoroughly cleaned and prepped my calipers prior to painting and they really look great! Saved a lot of effort by painting them without removing them from the car and there was very little overspray. I laid down primer, three base coats, and two coats of clear and all four calipers look like they are new from the factory! However, the true test will be how the paint holds up over the next couple of years or so.

I used this following the directions and I know it’s not going to be impact resistant because nothing really is. Sprays awesome, long lasting and sticks darn well. I also recommend the clear coat especially if you add decals like I did.

Next time I’ll paint the caliper paint on manually, but I bought the spray just for the speed of application. The VHT SP731 Real Red Brake Caliper Paint Can color is a true red and looked great for the first year. I did my calipers last year at this time. Now I have places where it’s peeling off. I was meticulous in the prep so I’m rather disappointed with it. One can did all four calipers with multiple coats on each.

Sprays on evenly with minimal runs. Two coats was all I used to achieve a high quality finish. This paint is very durable when it dries and does not chip or peel off easily.
