what are the panels made of ?

I found solid acacia wood cabinets by Haven, incredibly affordable! In fact the store manager said that there was no way that they were solid wood at that price. But, indeed they are!

what's the back made of?

The backing is a cardboard laminated with a wood look. Hope this helps. I have this in my basement bathroom for towel and linen storage. It works.

What is this cabinet made of?

Very flimsy particle board. No solid wood in any part of this cabinet. Other cabinets have better particle board. This one is very thin.

is it possible to assemble this with no shelves to store tall items?

The top shelf and middle divider are fixed in place and help add some structure to the unit. The bottom shelves are adjustable and don’t have to be installed at all. The two bottom openings are each about 53” tall and 13-3/4” wide without shelves installed.
