Hair Dye Shampoo & Champu Para Canas - Natural 3-in-1 Instant Gray Coverage for Men & Women (Dark brown-200ml)

My hair is dark brown and this worked perfect to cover those gray hairs that come out and I don't want to use a strong dye. It's as easy to use as a regular shampoo, but your hair will look darker after using it.

I was honestly surprised by how well Nova Hair Color Shampoo worked. It’s super easy to use—just like washing your hair. No mixing, no brushes, no mess, which is a huge plus for someone who doesn’t want salon drama at home. The color came out even and natural-looking, and it covered my gray hair nicely. I left it on for about 10–15 minutes, and the results were visible right after the first wash. It didn’t have that strong chemical smell, and my hair actually felt soft and smooth afterward instead of dry.

I tried this shampoo on both my mom and myself, and it works amazingly well! We used the black color to cover our grays (our natural hair color is black) and the results blended in beautifully without looking artificially dyed. The color takes about 10 minutes to develop in my experience, and we noticed that the longer we left it on (within reason), the darker and more even the results were. One important tip: be sure to wipe any excess off your skin immediately with a damp warm towel, as it can stain if left too long. The stain does scrub off eventually, but it's best to avoid that hassle. Another tip is to make sure to mix the two liquids that come out a bit before applying. I found that without doing that, the color doesn't stick well. Also, wear gloves, especially the rubber/nylon gloves that fit tightly as it makes distributing the dye easier and makes the process much cleaner! I made the mistake of not doing so, and it stained my fingernails. It seems to bind to keratin very easily, which is great for hair, but not for skin or nails. The plastic loose gloves that come with most dye kits don't work very well and tends to be messy. Overall, this is a fantastic alternative to harsh, ammonia-based dyes. There's no strong chemical smell, it provides full coverage, and the color looks natural.

After rinsing, my hair looked darker, shinier, and very natural, not like I had used a harsh dye. I also noticed that my hair felt softer and healthier. The scent is mild and pleasant. If you want quick coverage without damaging your hair, this shampoo is perfect. I’ll definitely keep using it.

It is good but I am not seeing it comes as foam. Even after enough shaking it still come in to shades watery gel and black gel. It is easy to use, cleans well. I feel some itchiness.

Ultimately, the dye does work and gives very good Grey coverage. With that being said, this is not an easy product to use. It comes in a very elegant opaque container, but a transparent squeeze bottle would serve the purpose so much better. Instructions say to shake the bottle well. The product comes out of the bottle as a clear gel and a dark gel. They’re not mixed together ,they are separated. The problem is there’s very little of the dark gel that comes out. It’s mostly the clear gel which will not dye your hair. I timed myself shaking it for five full minutes and it barely produced any dark gel. I pumped it into a small tray that I had to mix it and apply it to my hair. Application is messy to say the least. Also, although I am just applying to my gray roots, there is not enough to do the back of my head, only the front of my head from ear to ear across the top. It sounded like there was more product in the bottle, but I could not get it to pump out. If I decide to use this again I will need to buy two bottles just to do the roots. The product also dries out the hair significantly so I would recommend buying a heavy duty conditioner and using it whenever you shampoo following the treatment. The only reason why I purchased this was because it supposedly has only natural ingredients, but the process is not your regular at home hair coloring experience. One last thing it does stain sinks doors, etc. and the stain does not come out. Use very cautiously. Suggestions to the manufacture: ditch the fancy bottle, use a transparent squeeze bottle with a pointed tip and put more product in it.

I was really hoping for an affordable, fast, non-messy alternative to getting my hair dyed at the salon. Unfortunately, this did not meet my expectations fully. This is a hair dye, not a shampoo. It does not lather and is simply developer and color in two different compartments that mix together when you pump the handle. PROS: 1) It is not messy to apply, so it doesn't get all over the bathroom. 2) It does not discolor the skin on your hands or face if you wash it off right away. HOWEVER, if you choose not to wear the gloves, you will get a faint nail discoloration that last for a few days. CONS: 1) It takes much longer than advertised to dye the hair. The promos make it appear to only take 10 minutes. If you read the packaging insert, it is recommended that brown hair dyes stay on for 25 minutes. 2) It is not gentle/natural - it was very irritating to my scalp and caused lots of itching and slight burning. 3) The coverage is incomplete. I dyed my hair twice, three days apart, and only got 50% coverage of my roots (my hair is dark brown and the roots are now a medium brown). I suspect other brands that are marketed as dye shampoos probably have the same outcome. My recommendation is continue with the salon (Fantastic Sams is one of the cheaper options, and they have a 10-minute non-irritating Chi dye that works well) or your favorite box brand.

This product is awful, causing skin rashes so severe they took a couple of weeks to heal.
