These are great and the perfect height and fit. I have larger calves and no problem whatsoever. Their more mauve than red but no worries. Their comfy and keep my feet dry on those rainy days I walk the dog. I even used them as snow boots as they have great traction. I just wear thicker socks. The only downside to that is they're not lined.

My wife loves the traditional style rain boots. They fit true to size, although it is best if you get 1/2 to one full size larger than your everyday shoe size: it makes it easier to slip into and remove. They are great for gardening or taking short strolls on that rainy day. Would definitely recommend.

These are comfortable and work well and the color is just as pictured. They ran true to size and have kept my feet dry in the heavy rains. Only complaint and reason for 4 stars is I do wish the tops at the calf weren’t as wide since it does allow some rain in by your pant legs.

Love my boots. True to size. Slip resistant with good traction. Kept my feet dry. Very easy to put on and take off.

-Description says mid-calf but it’s more like up-a-bit-from-the-bottom-of-the-calf -There is still a gap between the bottom of my long rain coat and the top of these boots so if you want no gap, you may want a “taller” boot like knee high or a very long coat. -There is quite a bit of room at the top of the boot so if you have big calves, this will probably still work. I don’t have particularly big calves so I’m actually worried that rain will fall in there. It hasn’t rained since I got these so once I’ve tried them, I will update this review if any water gets in. -I wear a U.S. Women size 8 shoe but I bought an 8-1/2” since I’ll always be wearing thick socks w/these boots and I can say these boots are true to size. -The system is prompting me to talk about smell and warmth - there is no smell and I can’t comment on warmth since I live in Southern CA and it doesn’t get that cold. -They feel very comfortable on and they look adorable IMO so I would recommend these.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I had been looking for good rain boots for a while and I am very happy with this choice. They have a classic rainboot look. I like the green color and shiny finish. They work great, my feet and socks stay totally dry, and the boots seem very durable. And they are reasonably comfortable, for rain boots. Not much support, as is to be expected from rain boots, but I'm going to add a gel insole. I typically wear an 8.5 and that's what I bought and they fit well, and I expect I'll be able to slide in insole in as well. They did not hurt my feet even when I wore them all day at work and then led a two-hour walking tour in them. I've worn them in downpours and stood in puddles and my feet stayed dry.

I like them and they are comfortable enough for me to walk my dog in the rain! I might add a more padded insole. Color is perfect!
