No I keep it in Cupboard.Unless the temp is over 80 deg then it goes in the fridge.

Does it have the toasted coconut taste and smell?

Doesn’t taste toasted, but when you open the jar you smell coconut and also tasted like coconut. I had expected no coconut taste.

Does this have to be refrigerated after opening?

No it does not! It was in liquid form from the heat when I bought it and became solid within 24 hours. I use it for my dogs to help their digestion and their breath.
