Dr Weil recommends Active UMF 20+ Manuka Honey. Does anyone know if this is the same or similar? Tx

Where is the Proof that this is Pure Manuka Honey? Where is the UMF license?

If there is no visible proof then try using it. My wife was bedridden for 7 years. I bought Manuka honey (it was rated 16+ and I believe was when they just created the standard) anyway Nurses, doctors all were blown away because I showed them all that their methods are crap. In less than two weeks we were able to completely heal her bed sore. We never let it become a horror as I know happens in places but you get those expensive wound bandages and put the honey and then seal it in for a few days. Change it and clean the wound at least every two days if air gets to it or daily and just use gauze if it is in a place that gets wet etc. Even two or three times a day we had to change it when it was in a bad place. If you can seal it in with those bandages designed to keep the wound moist I had incredible results with a few healing in a week with only two or three changes. Of course everyone is different. I unluckily cannot vouch for this brand but I can Vouch for manuka honey working just amazing on bed sores. I had a doctor come to the house to see the results and from then on he made house calls to care for my wife. God bless him. She is gone now but Manuka honey made her life so much better. She had no more long lasting bed sores once we used Manukahoneyusa.com. I am in no way pushing that brand and do not know if it is superior than any others but I assure you that what I bought, BACK THEN (5 + years ago) worked. Life saver. I cannot say if this was the reason but something helped her keep her spirits up. She was an angel, never complained and never was nasty etc and she had serious issues. Could not move on her own at all except to talk and help hold a cup that you held for her yet still she would sing in bed. Sorry but I was blessed to have such a wonderful wife for 30 years.

Do this have to be refrigerated after opening ?????

Absolutely not necessary to keep it in refrigerator. That is the major point of having MGO certified Manuka Honey - Methylglyoxal is a self preserving natural antibiotic that grows the potency unstoppable when stored above 50F ( 10C). Therefore, if you bought MGO400 in 2015 over 1 year your honey could show MGO550 at lab test. Since this year FDA allowed manufacturers do not print expiration day on Manuka Honey MGO, only the date of the production.

Is the jar made of plastic or glass? I have to check them in at the airport, need to make sure they are not easy to break

You will definitely have a problem at the airport. I forgot mine in my carry on and had to quickly decant it into smaller bottles or lose the whole batch. Check the airport requirements or place in checked bag.
