The splint kept going in toward her tummy. The strap kept coming undone. Didn't work at all.. would have sent back but she is an Akita and got hair all over it.

This is very rigid. Installed, it would seem to act as an immobilizer or soft cast. I don't see how my dog could walk with a locked rigid leg. Forget plowing through the surf like in the pictures. According to the pictures it should flex like his knee flexes. Lets be clear, I'm 6 foot tall, 225 lbs, fit, and I can't bend it in the way a knee would bend (not at all). Yea, I can bend it sideways, but that's not how it's needs to be used. So this isn't for stabilizing an ccl/acl tear unless you want to lock his leg in a cast. Maybe that's what you need. But my dogs ligament is gone forever and he needs something to bend like his knee but restrict it from sliding out . Now I need to try another design. I give this two stars, it might be what you need, but the leaping dog photo's are mis-leading. Your dog will NEVER jump and leap around with this on.

Very hard to put on. Wouldn’t work for our dog. Might work for a lighter dog. Our dog is a 110 pounds

My poor pup has grade 3 patellar luxation, and she’s so active that i wanted to try something that might support her knee cap during and it’s so far done the trick! When the brace is on she uses that back leg more often reducing her 3 legged skip
