City Threads Bucket Hat for Boys and Girls Sun Protection Sun Hat (Baby Toddler Youth)

Bought this in the "Road" color for our 2-year old in the size Large (2T-3T). Fits great (aka the brim isn't enormous like some bucket hats), keeps the sun out of his eyes. Could be improved by adding a chin strap, but I knew that it didn't come with one, so it's not a big deal.I was expecting "Road" to be a neutral gray but it has a decided undertone of green, so it's an odd shade of gray-green (like a very faded army green). At first I wondered if they sent me the wrong color hat, but the Olive green depicted looks too dark/saturated compared to what we received, so who knows? We went ahead and kept it anyways since we were going to be at the zoo that weekend and needed a hat, but I would have preferred an actual gray instead of the light gray-green we received.

Sizing Information -- My son is 2 years, 10 months. He has a really large head and doesn't fit in any of the toddler-sized hats at Target or similar stores. However, the hats in the boys' department are too large. I ordered the XL for 4-6 year olds, and it fits him very well...snug, so it won't fall off, not much growing room. (He won't be in this for more than a year or two.) I am thrilled with this hat. The gray is a beautiful color and looks great with anything. It has a nice, wide brim with a deep fit, so it doesn't just sit on top of his head and blow off. Even if you're shopping for an average-sized kid, I would order at least a size up.

Bought this for my smallish 5 year old son. He's doing chemotherapy and his doctor warned me that he will be especially prone to sunburn during treatment-- especially his little bald head. This JUST fits. I hope it will get us through the summer as it's very nice quality, looks cute on him, will match just about all his summer outfits and, most importantly, he likes it :) Will have to find a similar one when it's outgrown! I did try it on my average-sized 7 year old daughter out of curiosity and it is much too small. Hopefully that helps other parents judge whether or not this hat will fit their kiddo. Adorable and seems comfortable, but wouldn't recommend for anyone over 5 years old unless very petite.

Fits my 5 yr old perfect! This is my 3rd hat to buy for my kiddos (daughter has one and this is my sons 2nd).Nice weight/material to keep it on his head if it gets a little windy, and the brim width is just right to keep the sun out of his eyes, off ears and neck, but still allows him to see without blocking his view (some bucket hats are crazy big over kids eyes). Recommended:)

So this is funny. The hat is very nice and well made, though something's wrong with the size. I ordered black and white ones and the white one is much larger than the black one and larger than it is supposed to be according to the size chart. So I returned the white hat and reordered. Guess what? the new one was exactly the same! larger than it should be. I gave it a third chance :) And the third hat came still larger. So I assume something's wrong with white hats sizes.

This is a nice hat but large! My 3yo has a pretty average head, maybe even slightly larger than average. I wanted him to wear the hat for a few summers, so I got him the 4-6 size. It fits my husband! Too big for a 3yo and falls over his face. Got the 2-3 size and it’s still a little large but more reasonable, so he will wear that one. Short story: size down.

i bought this for my 9 month old and its big - pretty big, but he can still wear it when we go on walks in the stroller. he will grow into it, but be advised, runs large even after washing (doesnt shrink). also, the grey has a 'green' tint almost but it still works. quality is good and picture is exactly what youll get.

Nice color and fabric but the fitting is a bit weird.. its tight in some areas and loose/baggy in others in a way that it forces me to pull the hat down all the way and it ends up covering up to his eyebrows. Or if I dont do this, it leaves a lot of poofiness in the head area. Maybe other baby heads might fit this better. I would give it try!
