This was right at the top end of (probably more than) what I wanted to spend on repairing headphones which could be replaced for less than £70, but there we go. The process is fairly straightforward but the step where you remove the speaker from the shell is very daunting and great care is required not to damage the very delicate internal wiring. Take your time and be gentle and it will be fine, but be very wary from this point until the speaker is back in place. Once installed it works perfectly. A little stiffer than the original but not such that it makes any difference.

My near 18 daughter managed to accidently break her Sony Headphones. It was her first and most expensive item that she purchased from her own money after she started a part time job a little over a year ago and I could tell she was upset. I could see the problem and even if I did a spot of hot glue it was never going to last. So hopped onto my "browser" to look for a replacement part- honestly not expecting to find one. Few of the usual suspects from China could offer them- fairly inexpensive but they usually take many weeks to come. Ebay sellers were also clearly selling the same import item for quicker delivery but at a premium- similar price to here, but only the part. But I managed to find this "kit" here on Amazon. It was exactly as described- neat little kit with everything you could need- including spare screws and 2 C clips for holding the cup to the headband and the hanging bracket for both sides, a neat little screw driver and very clear and easy to follow instructions- in good English with Pics. Glad I read the whole thing as the one I had looked at on Ebay would have had me unsolder half of the contents of that earpiece to remove the broken piece. All in all probably took 15mins to sort out, Now have an elated daughter and a spare for when she breaks the other side in the "Dad" box/drawer. Thanks again seller, nice kit

Does what is says really well. Wish they would sell left or right ones cheaper separately rather than having to buy a left and right.

I recently used this to repair my headphone hinge and it worked well, it took me around 40 minutes to repair my headphones with this kit. The parts are slightly different to the original parts with a slightly smoother texture and less reflective. The hinge is a little bit harder to move (Ie. When swinging the headphones around it won't move, but will easily move when pushed) although this could be due to my installation or wear and tear on the other headphone cup's hinge. Overall quite a good fix and cheaper than buying new headphones.
