I wouldn't. It has rat feces and urine in it.

I used this bedding almost exclusively for my rats and never had any of them die from this litter. I think it kept them from getting sick, actually.

Q: Is this safe for cockatiels?

Absolutely! Little to no dust and not treated with chemicals. I would put it in the freezer to kill any mites that you don't want in your birds cage.
