On powering up this item I was over the moon how more attractive this product made me look in the mirror. Gone were the lines and blemishes I had endured for so long. Instead of the twisted gargoyle I was used to peering blearily through the fog of futility, I beheld before me the visage of a Greek God with a chin to die for, with eyes as clear as freshly-cleaned tulips.It's also fairly light and can easily waved around the bathroom like a miniature light sabre - but it must NOT be attached to the light fitting whilst being used in this way. Also it should really only be used for miniature light-sabre shadow-practice, not for actual miniature light-sabre battles against an opponent.It doesn't make a very good snooker (or pool) cue, and it's lack of writing nib makes it a non-starter for use as an oversized novelty souvenir pen. But luckily I bought this to light up the bathroom and this it does very well, I can even read a paperback while on...while on the other side of the bathroom. Highly recommended.

Fairly bright, but not the bright I was after. Feels very much like a cold white light rather than a warm white.I would rather have it more yellow as was the halogen it replaced. Who wants to go into their own bathroom and be reminded of a hospital/ dentist etc.Still cheap and bright for what it is. It is directional in the sense you could not suspend it and it gives light in all directions, it has a single strip of what I assume are smd's inside, so in a sense it is brighter but not all the way around, so either the roof or the floor suffer..Ps sorry for the dodgy pic. Led and all that

Colour is a little white for my liking, I don't think it's 3000k, probably 3200-3500k. Otherwise it's fine, pretty bright with 360 degree throw.

One of my four bulbs was defective on arrival. I had noticed other reviewers commenting on this so I'd checked them all straight away. I wanted to keep three (I had need of them) but get refund for the defective one. Apparently this is not possible through the Amazon system (as bought from a 3rd party). So there you are, bit of a bore, really. Only 3-stars because of this; the ones that work are perfect, good and bright.

Excellent light the white light is much brighter than the old yellow light and it is much lower wattage so cheaper to run. It arrived really quickly thanks to Amazon Prime. We are very pleased with our purchase.

I was having trouble buying this size locally but these fit perfectly with 3000K for 40W output is great.

good Lights, bright considering the wattage

Nice and bright, with a more crisp bright WHITE light, rather than the yellow toned old fluorescent tube.Easy to install, same dimensions, but seems to run Cooler and hopefully also more energy efficient too, along with an expected longer life span.Would recommend, same price as the old fluorescent tube, but with more benefits.
