Not a bad toy.
This was a hard one to grade. I played/messed around with it for awhile before writing a review. First off, it is very sturdy. I found a good pose at the beginning and left it there for a good while and even after people bumping it over and whatnot, it still held its pose pretty well. After many attempts of reposing, nothing has felt loose or more so than when it was new. There are a good amount of adjustable spots. So I was very impressed with the possibilities of poses....at first. I soon realized however, that even though there are many spots to adjust, the main joints don't have a good range of motion. Talking about the shoulders, elbows, hips (where leg joins), and knees. Pic 7 shows how far forward the legs can go and pic 8 is how far back. The knees don't adjust much either. Pic 9 shows how far straight out the arm (right) can go, and how far up you can raise it (left). As you can see, it is very limited. Same as knees, elbows don't offer much too. The pose in pic 1, I was trying to get it to point gun towards his left side, but it is very much pointing forward way more than to the left. The other disappointing part is the paint job. I've seen worse. Definitely needs more coats. Almost gives it a worn out look, but I don't think that was the intention. As far as a comparison to other figures of this size and price, it kind of measures on par. It earns points in spots and loses in others. If you like the design, it is not a bad purchase at all.

Such a cool toy!!
First, I should say I’m not really an action-figure guy. I’m much more into statues. I like to put figures up--sometimes still in the box--let them sit on a shelf or mantle, and just look pretty while they collect dust. I don’t really handle my collectibles; the collector in me hates putting fingerprints on anything. But this one? This is absolutely an action figure, and it practically begs to be handled. It comes with so many accessories that I ended up playing with it, and honestly, I had a blast! It includes a large rocket-launcher-style weapon, two pistols (only one of which would fit in the holster), a sword already sheathed on the figure, and multiple interchangeable hands. With all the articulation points, you can pose it in a ton of different ways and mix-and-match the weapons for display. Very cool! The figure feels sturdy, and I didn’t feel like I was going to break anything while posing it. The articulation is solid, though the range of motion isn’t extreme. You can bend elbows and knees, rotate the arms, even adjust the feet a bit, but it’s not ultra-flexible. To be fair, it’s an armored soldier character, so limited mobility kind of makes sense. Still worth noting. The figure is also small, just over 4 inches tall, and I wouldn’t let a small child play with it because of the tiny accessories. But as a collectible? It looks fantastic. I’d be thrilled to get something like this as a gift, and I think a lot of people would feel the same. I’d never heard of JOYTOY before this, but after this figure, I’m definitely a fan!
