Rich, smooth mayo with noticeably better flavor
KEWPIE mayonnaise really does live up to the hype. The texture is incredibly smooth and creamy, and the flavor is richer than standard mayonnaise without being overwhelming. It has a slight tang that makes everything taste better, whether it’s on sandwiches, mixed into egg salad, or used as a base for sauces and dressings. You can tell the ingredients are higher quality, and it doesn’t have that overly processed taste some other brands do. A little goes a long way, which makes the bottle last longer than expected. Once you get used to this mayo, it’s hard to go back to anything else. Definitely a staple worth keeping in the fridge.

Worth trying—-yes, save the bottle for other uses.
Very tasty. It's lighter and smoother than Hellman’s and Dukes. There's a slight mustard taste at the end. The Japanese recipe main ingredients seem to be healthier than the American version except for using the MSG. I know MSG is a preservative of some sort, America does not have MSG as an ingredient. But which ingredient is worse MSG or what nasty preservative America thinks is ok for us to consume. The container itself comes in a very soft and flexible plastic or rubber bottle with an imprint of the kewpie on one side. The bottle sturdy, soft and flexible. It's easy to to use, plus you can see through the bottle enough to know how low it's getting, so you can prepare for your next order! The cap on the bottle has two functions, one is to squeezeout the mayo as usual. However, the other part of the cap creates a cute detail like for designing icing or using the empty bottle to use for deviled eye giving them a more decorative egg mixture. Or even use the empty bottle for cake icing. The Japaneseare very resourceful and Ican imagine they hope the container is used in multiple ways. I hope you enjoy it!

#1 Mayo in my book
I recently tried KEWPIE Japanese Mayonnaise and I’m very impressed. The texture is ultra-creamy and smooth, far richer than regular mayo, which makes sandwiches, salads, and sauces feel a little more gourmet. The flavor has a subtle umami depth — a little tangy, a little savory — that elevates even simple dishes. It’s especially good when you want a richer mayo taste, or when you’re experimenting with recipes that need that creamy, slightly sweet-savory Japanese mayo character. For cooking, sandwiches, or mixing into dressings — this mayo is top tier.

Perfect for Tuna-Mayo Onigiri
It's the real deal, Japanese style (not American), as far as I can tell. I find it unpleasant on its own, but in recipes it can't quite be replicated via other means. It's very smooth, contains more than you'd need for months if you just use it in fillings, though if you use it for everything it might only last a month. The price is fine given how tricky it can be to find locally. My favorite use is tuna-mayo onigiri (rice ball) filling. One recipe makes enough filling for 3 cups of cooked rice if you aren't stingy with it. 4 if you are. Mr preferred filling ratio is: - 1 can tuna (in olive oil preferred) whisked to a near-paste - 2 tablespoons of this mayo 1 teaspoon of soy sauce - A little ground black pepper - A bit of wasabi or hot sauce (to taste) Once you have the filling and your cooked short-grain rice (room temp or chilled), wet and salt your hands and form the rice around a generous portion of the filling. Add some nori as a holding surface just before eating. It's pretty much identical to those made by a local chef, and it absolutely beats anything from a normal grocery.

The best mayonnnaise. World class
Leaves every other mayo behind in the dust. This is the authentic version from Japan. Highly recommended. Salty so you may not need to add salt to whatever you are creating.
