This is the second one I bought for our geckos terrarium. The thermometer works perfect as it should. The only complaint I would have is that it should come with double-sided sticky velcro, so it can be removed during a tank cleaning. Other than that, I'm a happy customer.

I took a star off as I have had to replace the sticky back pad with a better alternative. - Scotch-Mount Double Sided Mounting Tape Heavy Duty.

Accurate temp!!

Good for starting out or if you do not have a humidity sensitive reptile! My snake is humidity sensitive and I did not find these as accurate as my environmental control center and the digital meter! The value is great and it is super easy to read! It sticks so well in my bioactive terrarium which because of my snake requires about 90 percent humidity. It is very functional and I recommend for people just starting out!!

Bigger than expected.

If you have a pet reptile, you know making their enclosure environment ideal is a daily task depending on the weather outside and in your home. This is fine as the main gauge in your pet's habitat. Experts usually go with a digital readout for the accuracy. However, I have this, a digital readout, and a thermal gun and this thermometer-wise is pretty accurate with plus or minus 1 degree. Overall, this is more than adequate as an overall check in your pet's environmental status.
