I like the bigness of this but the lid is too small to fit on the fryer so I put tinfoil for the lid

Get the small jobs done
The functionality of this product is great. The value for my money was perfect. The oil storage with the lid was perfect. Just make sure you do not use the lid when the product is still hot so far I have been able to use all different oils in it. It has great durability just to not submerge it into water.

Bachelor toy
I forget if I bought this at Amazon. I probably did. It holds 48 oz of cooking oil. I can get Canola oil all day long at King Soopers in that amount for less than 3 $ a bottle I used to filter the oil. what a mess. now I just take the used oil to the Bio Diesle guys after 5 or 6 fries. that's about all you get in reality. don't be cheap. wash the thing out and let it dry out prong side down for a couple of days I have done this numerous times with 0 problems. the machine itself is definately well worn looking with much patina from splatters. get one of those frying pan splatter guards. they work great at knocking the splattering coming out of the top. I still lay some newspaper underneath and around the area at a safe distance amazingly enough, the well where the oil and the 48 oz marker line on the inside of the fryer are still pristine. how cool is that? I actually use this for just 2 things Beer battered Catfish Fillets and Chicken Thighs the 1st thing i did was frisbie the divider as far as i could fling it along with the stupid spoon that comes with it I have a old slotted spoon that works better and a Chinese spyder that i cut down the handle they say when it's golden brown and floats to the top it's done I put em both in the oven on warm for a half hour to "Proof" just to make sure both are safe at 160* only 2 thighs at a time fit right in this thing in my experience or one large catfish fillet cut in half at a time you could do all of this 6 times or more in a party situation you could have a damn good fish fry and fried chicken over the weekend with your pals but i would dump the oil on monday change the oil every 6 fries ($.50 a fry is pretty cheap) and you will be likin' this thing get a splatter guard and don't put the rubber lid on till it cools off don't ever walk away while doing this that could be a real drag a good tip is to let the chicken or fish get to room temp 1st pretty much standard professional chef advice look it up or watch food network for a while I had a couple of those stainless household restaurant looking fryers big mess and many parts to deal with and not enough room for the food to roam Tried it in my cast iron stock pot but wasn't able to save the oil before it wore out for the occasional deep fry i couldn't recommend anything better than this prestone dual daddy for 40$ with the the free frisbie that comes with it for you to fling immediately into a deep canyon Easy to use 1 48oz bottle of oil that is pretty cheap at most super markets VEG or CANOLA (for 6 whole frys) Peanut is great but is pricey no olive oil it can't take the heat Crisco is the holy grail for deep frying I love my Dual Daddy and I hope this helps

Highly recommend
We love this! My parents have one and that’s what got us to buy one! It’s got the compartments so you French fries don’t taste like fish! And you can fry a good bit in it at a time. Enough to feed a family

WAY BETTER FOR DEEP FRYING THAN THE OTHER EXPENSIVE MODELS I OWN
Our Family loves Deep Fried Chicken and Tempura Shrimp and Vegetables. So, over the years, I've had many different deep fryers. Some create too much smoke. Some are just so darn hard to clean or spatter oil out on their protective enclosures. I ordered this on a fluke thinking it would get me by till I could find a more "expensive" model. HA - now I'm going to buy one for my brother so he can fry his own chicken. This is SO easy to use. Some people complained there is only one temperature, but folks, deep frying is deep frying. Most types of deep fried foods will need to be exactly at the temp this gets to in order to not retain oil in the food. Also, compared to other models of fryers, this holds SO MUCH MORE food, without reducing oil temp, than so many other fryers. I purchased the model that has a divider in the middle so you can fry two different foods at once without the foods mixing, and it holds more than the size down. While I usually cook just for 2, the larger model allows me to cook a whole chicken in TWO batches instead of 3 or 4 which really saves time from start to end of cooking, especially for 10-14 minute deep frying of things exactly like chicken. I don't mind that the outside gets hot - duh -- use the cool handles to move it around if you must move it after heating the oil. I don't mind not being able to control temps. This is a simple, plug in, large capacity, double sided Deep Fryer that cooks the food perfectly. We've used it now ~ 5-6 times since it arrived. Couldn't be happier. Putting the more expensive stinky fryers in the trash.

Excellent Customer Service!
The product is great, but the customer service is amazing. The cord on my unit stopped working and they replaced it right away. I was dreading having to contact the manufacturer, but they made it very quick, easy, and painless.

We got this deep fryer to make homemade chicken wings, and we love it so far! Still on our first batch of oil; we’re using peanut at the moment, but I purchased this style of deep fryer because I plan on making tallow to use in the future. Tallow solidifies at room temperature, so I needed a deep fryer that didn’t have a submersible heating element. I believe others have said that the oil temp can get too hot, but personally I don’t think I’ve seen it go over 375 degrees. That’s the exact temperature I wanted to cook wings in anyways, so it works well for us! Maybe if you let it preheat too long the temperature will go up higher? Not sure on that though.

This was a great little indoor fryer. My only complaints is the lack of temp control, which isnt a huge deal as i rarely lower the temp. I made battered fish and just unplugged it for 3m before starting. Aldo to note it heats to max temp very quickly! My only other complaint is the lid does not fit tight, very loose. It would be nice to clean it out and store the oil inside it but you will need a seperate oil container. The lid would keep dust out but thats about it.
