Not an instant read!!!!!
It works BUT it’s very slow to tell you your PH. It starts at 8 and counts down slowly. My old one, that is this same brand, was an instant read…..Unfortunately it stopped working. I’m keeping it but it’s just frustrating every time I use it.

Reliability worsens after long term use
Use for my current biology job. Overall, not the best use for in field use. New, works perfectly. After a while, the pH meter starts to go haywire and never gives a proper measurement even in still water. We have went through about six of these meters and have a lot of trouble. We have run a lot of diagnostics for it and have little to No luck. Sorry Oakton.

Good product; toggling is tedious though
Difficult to toggle back and forth. The previous mode was much easier to use.
