If you are looking for a hot, spicy Italian crushed red pepper for your pizza, pasta, stuffed peppers, etc. this is it. It has a nice fruity flavor with real heat. I'm Italian - American from Brooklyn and I know the real stuff when I taste it. This is it. By the way, there is another Calabrian crushed red pepper on sale from Amazon (sorry, but I threw out the package so I don't remember the name) that only has moderate heat, say a 3 on a 1 - 10 scale (10 being the hottest) that I also like very much, as does my wife.
