Legit bar conditioner
Hair products in bar form have come a long way since the first time I tried them a decade ago.The first bar shampoo I used was a Burt's Bees products and it made my normally relatively soft hair feel like straw. I largely swore off bar shampoo and conditioner after that, despite being intrigued by their environmental benefits.Recently I tried some bar shampoo from Lush and was happy with the results, so I was more open to trying other, similar products. I was a bit skeptical about the ability of a bar of conditioner to actually leave my hair with a nice texture, but I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It doesn't lather super well, which I guess makes sense since it's not a shampoo, but I did feel like I had to rub it on my head for quite a while to feel like it was sufficiently coating my hair, it's very lightweight and feels like almost nothing is there. My hair is pretty short, too (sort of a long pixie cut), so I think I would get annoyed trying to apply this to longer strands. I did not notice any fragrance when I was using it. When I get in the shower, I shampoo first, then condition and let it sit while I take care of everything else; rinsing out conditioner is generally the last step of my shower routine. I'd say I let this sit on my hair for 5-10 minutes. I almost always allow my hair to air dry, and I showered very late last night when I tested this so I went to bed with wet hair. I woke up with my hair dry, pretty soft, and very bouncy and voluminous.I'm very happy with the results, and although application felt like it took forever, it also did not seem to use up a significant amount of product, so with proper storage I think this bar could last for dozens of washes. NO MORE TANGLES OR FRIZZ!!!
This is the best conditioner I have ever used! Every time I washed my hair I had to put detangler in it just to get a brush through it. I would end up with a wad of hair coming out. And then my hair was frizzy and hard to even run my fingers through. This stuff worked amazingly the very first time I used it (along with the coordinating shampoo bar). I was able to use a comb, and not one tangle. AND hardly any hair came out. Three days later, I could still run my fingers through it and it wasn't at all frizzy. Total game changer for me.

Not ideal for wavy/coarse hair
I really want to find a shampoo and conditioner bar that works for my hair type, unfortunately this one isn't it. I have dry, coarse, wavy hair that needs something to smooth down my flyaways. I usually use Monday brand's "smooth" line and it makes my curls soft and manageable. This is the first conditioner bar I've tried, for f reference. I really like the idea of having less disposable plastic in my life so I really wanted this to work out for me.To start, it comes in a cute blue cardboard box, sealed shut with a sticker. Upon opening it, you see the blue, half circle solid conditioner bar with a very strong herbaceous smell. I did worry that after I used it, it would smell like I worked in a crystals shop but the smell didn't last. The instructions say to rub it in hair and leave for a few seconds for it to work. I got my hair very wet but it still took a lot of effort to activate the conditioner bar. I probably passed it through my hair 30 times on each side before I felt content with the saturation level. I tried to leave it in for a minute before washing it out. After washing it out, I didn't smell like rosemary, so that's good, but it didn't seem to be the right type for my hair. I didn't use any leave in conditioner afterwards so I could feel the full effect of the conditioner. My hair the day after washing has a lot of flyaways and feels dryer than I would like.I do think this is a good value for the money, you could barely see any use out of it from the one time I used it on my very long hair. I could see getting a lot of washes out of it! This would be better for fine hair, rather than coarse hair.I recommend someone give this a try who wants to experiment with a solid conditioner, and don't worry about the strong odor, it didn't stay in my hair after washing.

Great product
This is my first time trying and I really like it. A lot of other bar conditioners use up too quickly but this seems to definitely be worth it.

Possibly the perfect high quality travel conditioner and/or Co-washing solution.
I am an older adult and I have thick course Asian hair that I am growing long for time. Using good hair products seems to make a big difference in making my hair journey manageable. I have never used a bar conditioner before. The first time I used this I struggled I don’t like to use too warm a water on my hair as I feel it strips my hair of all its natural oils and drys my hair out. I felt like I could not get enough of the bar to lather up. Second time I gave the curved end of the bar a short soak in warm shallow bowl. This like a shaving soap bar So much better. It’s like a nice conditioner with a little lather soap properties. This actually fills a perfect need for me. Some days i just use conditioner (co-washing) on my hair as i feel shampoo everyday strips too much off my hair. However typically when co-washing i feel does not cleaning my hair enough especially if I and worked out a lot that day.So using bar conditioner was a perfect sweet spot for cowashing. This small amount of sudsing has enough to lightly clean my hair and the conditioning was enough for a light condition. Once you figure out how to soften portion of the bar this works great. It’s actually really concentrated and should last a long time. This will be my go to travel conditioner. I think I may cut little bars or strips and I can just soak in a small hotel cup. Trying to fly with descent shampoo and conditioner is just a pain with the 3 oz. Rule. This stuff goes really far and is a solid so no issue with the liquid TSA rules. This a nice discovery and solution i did not even know was out there. I only us quality conditioner and feel this falls into quality but light conditioner. I will still need deep hair mask type conditioner at least weekly. So this earns 5 stars as it’s the perfect co-washing solution for me.
