Gourmet Chesnok Red Garlic Bulbs Hard Neck - 4 Bulbs - Garlic To Plant For Fall Planting - Non-GMO Organic Grown

I got these to plant this fall for a spring garlic harvest. Since I live in Ohio, I went with hardneck garlic, which typically does better in colder climates. The bulbs that arrived were impressive — large, firm, and healthy-looking with big cloves that separated cleanly. You can really tell when garlic has been handled and stored properly, and these looked great right out of the package. I planted an entire 4x4 garden bed using these and still had plenty left over. The extra cloves are now in our kitchen, and we’ve already used a few in cooking. They have that rich, spicy aroma you want from good hardneck garlic. For planting, I only used the biggest cloves and saved the smaller ones for cooking, which worked out perfectly. Everything about the packaging and condition of the bulbs made planting easy. The cloves were consistent in size and free from soft spots or damage. I followed my usual fall garlic prep routine — planting them about two inches deep, pointed side up, with a layer of mulch on top — and they went into the soil beautifully. I’m really looking forward to seeing how they do next year. If the bulbs grow as well as they look, I should have a strong, flavorful harvest come late spring or early summer. For anyone in a northern climate looking for a reliable hardneck variety to plant in the fall, these are an excellent choice and a great value for the quality.

I received four exceptional looking garlic bulbs - all were good size, hard & red (see photo). The plan is to prepare the raised bed garden soil and plant them tomorrow. I'll provide an update when they emerge prior to winter in New England.

I love these garlic, they were firm and beautifully packed when arrived. I planted and they started sprouting quickly. I transplanted them today and I am just loving these roots. They smell so so good. I love these garlic.

It’s a little hard to give a full review just yet. The new garlic is just starting to poke through, and it looks like about half of it is showing. Of course, it’s still really early in the season, so the rest should be on the way. Consider this an early impression or Part 1 of my review I’ll update it later in the season with photos and more details. The garlic arrived quickly, and I was honestly just happy they even had any in stock. It was a last‑minute decision to grow garlic this year, and my usual supplier sold out long ago. If these bulbs continue to do well, I’ll definitely be ordering more from here in the future.

I am so angry about this product, the garlic arrived sprouted, soft and rotten. It was packaged in a box that had Christmas wrapping paper on it. Today is February 2nd. It is obvious that this garlic is so old and spoiled that it's probably not even safe to ingest. I'm furious about this because I had it shipped to my daughter who is sick in bed, in another state, without a car, and needed it for medicinal purposes and now she can't use it. Don't advertise "gourmet" garlic and then send an expired product!
