If it is US or MIM. The bushing height is 3/8. You typically use 1/4 bushing for pick guard mounts. So you need a second hex nut as a spacer under the pick guard to have it match up correctly.

What size mounting hole is required?

size3/8 inch standard imperial size. If your putting them in an import guitar you may need to widen the hole.

I believe these are all made in Asia. The only pots I know of made in North America are Bourns, made in Canada
