Q: Is the sound muffled when playing with lod shut?

Yes a bit, but sounds 'tinny' with lid open. Better with separate speakers.

Q: What is the dimensions of the speakers? Do you connect the the turntable and speakers by cables ? Are the cables supplied with the speakers ?

He speakers are built into the player. However I use Bluetooth at times which works effectively for me.

My son has the built in speaker , the sounds ok for his bed room put ask any more of them and the sound distorted there is extra plug in to better speakers or even an amplifier so the questions is what are you looking for built in if its your first turntable great

I’m not sure what that means, but we’ve tried L P’s and single records 45’s as I know them and even grandads 33’s, if that helps
